Will try to get down to Margate during September for a look.

Banksy Show โข Cut & Run โข Glasgow , by mojo on Aug 20, 2023 22:16:23 GMT 1, Interesting, let's hope it genuinely is BANKSY behind this gift and not the "Oxfam Counterfeit Pin Gang" from last week...more important that the Big Issue sellers get the help they need. They'll definitely have earnt it after having to deal with thousands of Banksy fans on their case asking if they can have a "flick through" before paying...(don't do that, you'll only crease them all up and then they won't be able to sell them). Best of luck to all the Big Issue sellers out there.

Mason Storm ๐ฌ๐ง New Print Release โข Who is Mason Storm?, by mojo on Aug 17, 2023 21:42:52 GMT 1, So much hate for something that letโs face it, is better than anything Banksy has ever churned out. I think this is going to go down well. Itโs easy on the eye, great colour scheme and to be honest better than most releases recently. Mason might be a chancer but never the less he makes people talk and thatโs whatโs art about. In a nutshell a load of old bollocks.

CONFIRMED NOT GENUINE Cut and run pin badge , by mojo on Aug 17, 2023 21:41:27 GMT 1, One thing that should have raised some red flags was the fact that one of photos of these appear to have a hairy ball bag showing between his fingers in the background. Definitely not criminal masterminds these clowns. Dodgy - In a nutshell a load of old bollocks.

CONFIRMED NOT GENUINE Cut and run pin badge , by mojo on Aug 14, 2023 16:28:41 GMT 1, *edited as I apologised for calling them knock offs. Trying to drag Oxfam into selling counterfeit goods to endorse this scam is pretty low. Charity shops aren't legally allowed to sell fakes, so well done for causing them a load of unnecessary stress too. It did strike me as too small a charitable donation for the likes of Banksy.

Banksy Show โข Cut & Run โข Glasgow , by mojo on Aug 12, 2023 16:47:39 GMT 1, Kinda weird that we reached a period in time when there's an official Banksy tote bag, and we're all like, sure, that's fine, I guess my local framer can do something with that. I will genuinely be tickled the first time I see one of these bags out in the wild, on a grocery run or something. Well then you will be happy to know I already use mine to go to the local co op

CONFIRMED NOT GENUINE Cut and run pin badge , by mojo on Aug 12, 2023 15:38:51 GMT 1, If these are official Banksy/GOMA merchandise I would be prepared to pay five whole pounds for one, perhaps even a bit more. However if they aren't then I'd rather not participate in ripping off the artwork/logo for the show. Whether official or not there are going to be more than two available as the companies that make them have minimum quantity orders, you just have to supply the image and pay the invoice...literally anyone could do it if they were so inclined.

Banksy Show โข Cut & Run โข Glasgow , by mojo on Jul 5, 2023 21:41:56 GMT 1, Nice one Banksy, what a great show! I was mesmorised by quite how incredible all the stencils looked together, they're all so precise and intricate and loved how they were all lit so you could see the detail. The real originals! Really appreciated being able to see the installations close up, spent a while playing with the meat truck (had my photo taken with the aminals). The bus-stop, phone booth, sleigh...incredible, all of it. Great to see Pete Brown's Margate paintings included too. I even had a quick nap and photo on the Banksy bed ...the staff were all so nice they didn't even mind. A very memorable day out, fanks Banks...and I got a new passport BOOM.
*for the more observant forum members you may notice my avatar has changed. I attempted to take my hat off as a mark of respect but instead my avatar disapeared completely...blown away

Banksy Show โข Cut & Run โข Glasgow , by mojo on Jul 3, 2023 15:16:21 GMT 1, Do you think he recreated his bedroom, or did he keep all the stuff from his actual bedroom? Because I can't decide what would be stranger. It looks like an 80's time machine! Everyone had wood chip walls, a pine bed & matching shelves, an MFI set of drawers, one of those lamps and a quilt cover like that ...didn't they? If those airfix models were actually made by Banksy they're now originals!

Banksy Show โข Cut & Run โข Glasgow , by mojo on Jul 1, 2023 10:50:45 GMT 1, This news will please some here, I can already see them mocking and laughing: I will not go to Scotland or even my friend Banksy. The municipality, the town hall of Strasbourg cannot give me an appointment before September 18 to make my passport (and I will still have to wait after). The last day in Glasgow will be grandiose. I will exchange my ticket for free for goodies, or cookies. To resume I'm fucked. If it's any comfort the same thing is happening in the UK. I have 2 passports and both are useless as you need 6 months prior to expiry to travel...ugh! WARNING to anyone that needs to renew their passport there are massive delays, it takes ages. If you only have a year till expiry DO IT NOW. However in a weird/convenient twist of fate I have to go to Glasgow this week to pick up mine on an emergency appointment so I suppose it worked out ok in the end. Good luck @lroy.

Gerhard Richter ๐ฉ๐ช Abstract โข Contemporary Art โข New Relea, by mojo on Jun 25, 2023 12:12:23 GMT 1, p.s BREXIT is the reason you and everyone else weren't on ventilators for Chinese covid. Your EU fucked up big time there and on Ukraine. It was Brexit, which enabled the UK to tackle that cxnt Putin. Where do you get this crap from? Everything you say is demonstrably false. Firstly, the UK was free to deal with Covid however it wanted to, regardless of if we are in or out of the EU. And if you are referring to the covid vaccines then, again, each country was at liberty to order where they could. In fact, we were at a disadvantage as some of the components of the vaccine had to be imported from EU countries who, for obvious reasons, wanted them for themselves and their friends. Secondly, Brexit has absolutely nothing to do with Putin and the invasion of Ukraine. In case you haven't been paying attention, the EU has been applying the same sanction towards Russia as we have here in the UK.

Banksy Show โข Cut & Run โข Glasgow , by mojo on Jun 24, 2023 1:51:08 GMT 1, The thing that makes me think it could be a Banksy is the same thing that makes me think it isn't?...The Orange Order sash...maybe we'll find out on the 12th? (but it's gone now so maybe we won't?) Its absolutely not Banksy (unless of course, it is Banksy). It has a lot of excellent elements, but the synthesis of concepts isn't in the manner of Banksy.
My guess from the list of usual suspects would be James Staffron. The bloke who did the Poundland - Slave Labour homage. To my untrained, yet astute, yet ignorant eyes there is something about them that "matches."
Yes! I'm definitley getting sewing machine plinth vibes too.
