MR. BRAINWASH ICONS NYC SIGNED PRINTS FOR SALE!!!, by jam on Mar 8, 2010 3:01:08 GMT 1, I saw sold stickers at the show for his stuff that were valued at $100,000 and $300,000 so I am convinced there is a market for his work. I think the guy is talented and he also does sculptures.
And the sold stickers must mean the stuff was actually bought and paid for. Afterall, nobody has ever fixed prices and shilled sales.

JetSet Graffiti, by jam on Feb 21, 2010 5:58:48 GMT 1, Anyone who hasn't been around art long enough to witness Daniel Lahoda's prior episodes (on this forum and elsewhere) should understand that more senior collectors are wary of any credit he takes or any "information" he gives because he has a history of being a liar and con artist. It's laughable that anyone would rush to his defense without educating themselves on his background.
Poppy, take pffffffffffft's advice and contact the LAPD Art Fraud division. Should you not find successful resolution with them, PM me and I will set you up with someone at the FBI Art and cultural property crime unit. I also have some art collector friends in CA that are attorneys by day, and I can put you in touch to see if they'd like to take on a civil case for you at a substantially discounted rate.
Lastly, Daniel. Concerning your post above saying "I understand that I'm not wanted and it's no longer in my interest to post here, so I won't come here anymore. It's that simple, really"... give it a rest you sniveling c**t. I'm sure you will be back 'round when you feel the heat has died down and there is a sufficient amount of new members on this forum to manipulate and/or steal from.

Banksy Art - Sundance Park City Utah, by jam on Jan 23, 2010 22:56:26 GMT 1, How far the MBW myth is being further promoted by Banksy is unclear...
The answer is clear alright... extortion. Banksy wanted to get the clips from MBW to see the film completed and to protect his identity. MBW saw what guys like Banksy and Shep had achieved, and decided he was going to be an "artist". He held the film over Banksy's head and extorted money/promotion in exchange. Banksy even bankrolled the Mr Brainwash 'life is beautiful' show in LA... Brainwash has done none of it on his own. Thierry is a manipulative leach, and it's an insult to true artists when MBW is written up in the same arena.

Banksy โข Rude Copper Print โข 2003, by jam on Nov 27, 2009 4:38:03 GMT 1, Number 1 of Banksy's first print. A nice little piece of history!
Not really the "first" Banksy print; as there were prints that preceded 'Rude Copper'.

Remarkeble piece on the bay! Rostarr and Parla!, by jam on Sept 16, 2009 0:27:57 GMT 1, I would imagine Jose is entirely against it being shown in the context of graffiti art, as he is trying to put such distance between himself and the movement that gave him recognition as EASE. Disappointing, the hypocrisy money brings to an artist's perception of his work. Ironic you make such comments about Parla - coming from a guy who liked his work enough to buy an original from a gallery, had them rush it to you for some "special dinner party", only to flip it at Andipa. And no I'm not riscosg/dudebro - just calling a spade a spade though.
Well; actually you're not calling a spade a spade in this case because your information is incorrect in nearly every facet. While it is true that I bought a piece from CG, there was never any mention of rushing it for any "dinner party". I have had many dealings with Acoris involving Banksy and Damien Hirst pieces, and a friend of mine was involved in putting together the show, so I I viewed loaning the piece as a favor to the both of them. The piece was indeed shown at Andipa, but it was on loan for the purposes of display and it was not sold through them. There is also are a few lengthy, accusatory and defaming emails from Jose/Christina directed toward Andipa that were entirely out of line and show the character of their authors.
Like it or not, Parla/Ease is graffiti relevant and owes his current career to those who found him through that relationship. The fact is, I own two large watercolors as well as two canvases so I do appreciate Parla's artistic ability... but I also happen to think his attitude toward people linking his work to street art is disappointingly pretentious.

Remarkeble piece on the bay! Rostarr and Parla!, by jam on Sept 14, 2009 17:47:49 GMT 1, This is a very weak piece plain and simple. (That said, I still can't believe Parla cheerleader extraordinaire RicoSG11/Dudebro17 hasn't been on to talk about what a monumental piece it is) I would imagine Jose is entirely against it being shown in the context of graffiti art, as he is trying to put such distance between himself and the movement that gave him recognition as EASE. Disappointing, the hypocrisy money brings to an artist's perception of his work.

Becca is Back!!! , by jam on Jul 23, 2009 17:18:14 GMT 1, I urge you to discuss my honesty with anyone whom I've worked directly with; especially the artists... In fact, I urge you to discuss my business with anyone who doesn't use an anonymous screen-name. Thanks.
Curious to know if you ever sold the Banksy Splashed Donkey street piece from Palestine for the $500k you were looking to get. Have to wonder how honest Banksy thinks your part in that ordeal was.
I also would be interested in knowing if POW think you're an honest guy by virtue of the fact you had mules buying stuff for you to flip from Santa's Ghetto.

Becca is Back!!! , by jam on Jul 23, 2009 10:16:16 GMT 1, The fact that Jet Set was ready to give bigwilly $1125 back AND a Shepard Fairey piece when he already sent the print to them, just goes to show on the rare chance Jet set are'nt fraudsters, they have'nt got a clue whats going on with their business and that surely has got to be raising alarm bells for anyone purchasing anything from them. I certainly wont be. Over all art forums there is just to much neggative feedback and there is no smoke without fire.
From what I know about how ponzi schemes work, this sounds like bits of one to me. I'm sure Jet Set is happy to give a couple grand in prints or cash away to quell rumblings of the loudest people with issues. This way, their future offerings continue to sell briskly and keep generating revenue.
TOO many comments or issues with buyers on this and other art forums for there not to be substance to the claims and issues brought up. I certainly wont be buying anything from them... and anyone who does has been given all the info they should need to draw the same conclusion. If you still choose to buy from Jet Set in the future, just remember the old saying: "A fool and his money are soon parted".

Becca is Back!!! , by jam on Jul 18, 2009 6:31:34 GMT 1, Could someone explain to me how Daniel Lahoda aka Lahoda Fine Arts, LLC. aka Jet Set Graffiti still operates a business related to art? How is it even possible, when there are threads all over the internet that talk about all the lies, cons (such as this viral marketing attempt by an "intern"), art purchased but never sent, broken promises, etc.
There should be an active campaign to post threads on every art related forum to warn people about him...

New Hirst self portrait, by jam on Jul 12, 2009 20:10:31 GMT 1, you can tell by the nasal passages leading to the urethra that he is or was a BIG Coker. I'm in med school!
I suppose I missed the lesson that described "the nasal passages leading to the urethra" while I was in med school. If that were anatomically correct, it would give new meaning to the idea of pissing away cocaine.

Hajime Sorayama ๐ฏ๐ต Sexy Robot โข Kaws โข Art For Sale , by jam on Jun 30, 2009 0:49:48 GMT 1, $1600usd shipping included. PM if interested. Located in NYC thanks.
dudebro17 (formerly known as ricosg11) - For someone who loves to comment on flipping, it's pretty f**king funny to see you flipping a Kaws.
Are you saving up for a Parla? Is he giving you a good price because you report to him with any news on the secondary market you can to get your nose a bit further up his ass? I don't think he really needs a cheerleader, but if he does, I guess you're the c**t for the job.

Damien โข Opium, by jam on Jun 26, 2009 19:29:23 GMT 1, If I'm allowed to chime in? Well then I agree with old wizzy here. The eyestorm prints are the original dot prints and the most iconic in my eyes. The glitter prints just seem tacky and rehashed and lacks the vigor and allure of the original that caught the art world by storm and off guard. I think value is something to consider but going for the more iconic piece usually pays off in the long run imo. But they're just photographic prints in an edition of 500! You obviously haven't seen one of the Paragon Press spot etchings. They are in a different league to the Eyestorm prints.
The Paragon spot etchings are tops, and I own a few so I'm not making the statement without being able to judge them side by side with the Eyestorm pieces. I don't much like the gold, glitter, bronze spots from Other Criteria though. While the quality of the prints themselves is solid, the look of the background isn't as appealing as the white background.

Be VERY careful with Rude Copper prints... there are some fakes circulating.

Ian Francis *set of 4* -- priced at 1/2 cost!, by jam on May 8, 2009 5:00:39 GMT 1, Would you not do better to just list them seperately on ebay? Either way, at this price bargain!
Perhaps I'd do better listing individually, but I really would like to see them stay as a matching set. I've had a few people interested, but nobody has followed through yet.
