For Sale- Harland Miller, XXX, 2023- Update, by Love Is In The Air on Jul 28, 2023 15:48:04 GMT 1, I think these are nice BUT also agree for circa 10k you can now get a Harland Penguin in the form of Hates Outta Date!
Art markets like Harland are slow atm. He brought out a lot of prints at a time when people got a bit tighter with money. Subsequently he’s easy to buy atm - if you want a Harland you can shop around.

Damien Hirst • Where the Land Meets the Sea, by Love Is In The Air on Jul 24, 2023 12:06:09 GMT 1, I like the look of these posters(agree they are only posters not artworks) and I think framed up in black, a triptych or a pair would look pretty good.
Appreciate others are in front of me in the queue but not a huge fan of eBay so if any forum members are flipping/selling these please PM me your price. Have lots of stuff I could swap too, Banksy Cut And Run items, signed Harland Miller book etc if that appeals more. Thanks

Charlotte Keates 🇬🇧 Painting • Print Release • For Sale, by Love Is In The Air on Jul 20, 2023 12:27:00 GMT 1, I agree the Racquet Cover is great, been meaning to get a copy. I thought it looked quite like some of her older work I had seen from a few years previous.
I have the German AD mag print via a friend who lives in Switzerland and he now has a needless subscription for a year! It is a nice large sized print and I have it framed on the wall BUT understandably given the cost, the quality will not be a patch on the new hand finished ones. Ooccc you have got a lovely one there, congrats.

BBC Interview Steph Warren (POW) about Banksy, by Love Is In The Air on Jul 17, 2023 7:00:16 GMT 1, Few small spoilers here but BBC sent out following info to promote the series yesterday which might help you decide whether to listen. Ideal podcast for a train journey to Glasgow I reckon.
EMBARGOED: 00:01, MONDAY 17.07.23 Ex Banksy employee reveals never heard before stories about the artist in new BBC Radio 4 podcast The Banksy Story A recording of what could be Banksy’s voice also features in the 10-part series With Banksy’s first ever retrospective opening at the Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art last month, a new 10-part series for BBC Radio 4 and BBC Sounds, The Banksy Story, hears exclusively from an ex-employee of Banksy’s infamous Picture On Walls print shop, who worked closely with the artist during a critical time in his career and recounts fascinating behind the scenes stories. Producer and presenter James Peak isn't an art critic, or even a journalist. He's a Banksy super-fan, and in this series he gets closer than ever before to Banksy's secret world to tell the story of the graffiti kid who made spraying walls into high art, the anonymous figure who became a household name, the cultural phenomenon who bites the hand that feeds him. After tracking down Steph Warren who worked at Pictures on Walls just as Banksy was about to explode into the mainstream, James spent a year convincing Steph to tell her story. Steph reveals behind the scenes stories from his tremendous rise, how he got the elite art world on his hook, how he dealt with the increasing pressure of his notoriety, his immense capacity for charity, the way he administrates this secret world, and much more. For the launch of Banksy’s landmark 2005 Crude Oils show in London, which featured live rats running around, Steph recalls seeing Banksy’s father discover who his son was for the first time; “I remember this one guy stood away from the crowd, then one of the guys helping out in the background said that’s actually Banksy’s dad. I knew that Banksy had told his parents that he was a painter and decorator, because we'd laughed when they'd had to do a show in Vienna, his parents had asked ‘did they not have painters and decorators in Vienna?’. And so for the Crude Oils show, he’d revealed himself to his parents. And his dad had come down to see, and was looking completely open mouthed at what his son had created. And I sort of brought him in and showed him the work… I think he was just completely astounded at what was transpiring, you know? It was a real buzz, you couldn't walk past that installation without being aware of it.” Between 2003 and 2005, Banksy walked into some of the world’s most famous museums and galleries, placing some of his artworks on the walls. Following a string of stunts in New York including the Metropolitan Museum, someone claiming to be Banksy gave an interview with US radio during which we hear what could potentially be the artist’s voice for the first time – a soft southern accent with an occasional Bristolian twang – describing themselves as a ‘painter and decorator’. During the five minute recording, they display a mischievous sense of humour, explain why and how they pulled off the museum stunts and in doing so, subtly satirise the art world. They say; “I think it’s testament to the frame of mind most people are in when they’re in a museum really. Most people don’t really notice things and let the world go by… For instance in the Met, they hung a Henri Matisse painting upside down for 42 days I believe it was, until someone told them it was round the wrong way. I was aiming for at least 42 days, but unfortunately didn’t get that far.” Whether it is Banksy’s voice or just another in a long line of misdirection tactics, The Banksy Story charts the elusive artist’s compelling journey from street artist to global phenomenon, speaking to contributors who were in the room where it happened and featuring analysis by connoisseurs including author and cultural historian John Higgs (The KLF: Chaos, Magic and the Band who Burned a Million Pounds). The Banksy Story is available as a boxset on BBC Sounds from 17th July and broadcast week days at 13:45 on BBC Radio 4 from 17th July.

Invader CDG hoodies £45, by Love Is In The Air on Jun 12, 2023 13:53:09 GMT 1, Just looked through emails and I bought a Parra T shirt in sales there at start of last year that arrived no problem. But I’m not regular buyer there tbh.
An adidas fan twitter posted links to some cheap trainers there today which is how I ended up on the Invader page……the twitter in question is normally decent on their recommendations but perhaps purchase on Credit card so you have them to back you up if anything goes wrong.

Banksy poster, Grayson Perry piggy and Chapman Bros stuff, by Love Is In The Air on Apr 21, 2023 9:59:08 GMT 1, I'll take £650 today or this weekend on the Grayson Piggy Bank in case that twists anyone's arm. Appreciate most people likely bought one the other week.
Had couple of messages, but anyone thinking of buying the Chapman Bros stuff, I can add a red smiley Big Issue poster signed by Jake to the mix for same money.
Have a good weekend everyone. Cheers

Banksy poster, Grayson Perry piggy and Chapman Bros stuff, by Love Is In The Air on Apr 20, 2023 14:50:08 GMT 1, I now have a deposit for the Banksy Soup Can poster so I consider it to be SOLD subject to being examined on collection.
Whilst I am on a roll I thought I would also add couple of bits from Chapman Brothers.
Firstly last Summer they did cardboard hand painted version of their dinosaurs. I saw the metal ones of these at Tate many years ago and they were great. I thought these would be brilliant in a kids room one day, but I still have no kids and the room in question now has 3 prints on the wall.
So I have three of these dinosaurs described as Hand watercoloured cardboard and signed Jake and Dinos. I have one of each of The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly which are on board and could be framed or you could put them together and display as models. Mine are mainly blues and reds, will take proper pics out of packaging if I get interest These were about £100 each plus postage but I haven't seen many sold since so I will chance my are at £400 OBO
If anyone wanted to up go to £500 total I could also throw in a signed book/print which I think was about £100 at source too. Jake Chapman Plusgood Edition - Limited edition print and book 2+2=5 rare dinos. Print has a very minor dink but I think a lot of them had. Anyway preference in a dream world would be for someone to take both at £500, but otherwise I could listen to an offer on the book separately too. Thanks again.

Banksy poster, Grayson Perry piggy and Chapman Bros stuff, by Love Is In The Air on Apr 19, 2023 15:57:39 GMT 1, Hello all,
A credit card bill has kindly arrived before I get paid next week so thought was a good excuse to post couple of items here in the hope of a cash/paypal sale or two at the end of this week in London face to face.
First up is a Banksy POW Soup Can poster which is framed. NOW SOLD
Secondly I wanted to offer a Grayson Perry Piggy Bank. I bought this one from eBay last year for £1000 and I know there's been plenty on the Serpentine Gallery website recently for £420, but I think it is also likely people will be waiting a while for those to be delivered, possibly until the Autumn. Anyway on the off chance someone can't wait or even wants to have one in hand to give as a present or something similar in the coming weeks, I will offer my one up at £700 which I think is cheaper than current eBay prices, but obviously a premium compared to buying direct.
Both items are in Walthamstow E17 and collection preferred, although I could meet elsewhere in London potentially.
On the off chance it might help persuade someone to come to E17 or meet up and take one of these items(or both), I've also got these bits I could add on to any deal, or I guess post out potentially with some postage costs on top if it caught someone's eye.
Hockney - Little Boodge vintage 1993 poster bought from Salt Mills SOLD
Harland Miller the updated In Shadows I Boogie book. SIGNED and still sealed £100
Invader Rubikcubist Mima Full set of 8 posters, never left their tube £80 (I think this was cost)
That's it from me for today, have bought and sold on here a lot in the past so could get references if needed. Depending on the success or failure of this post I may try some other items at the weekend. Have a good evening. Cheers

Charlotte Keates 🇬🇧 Painting • Print Release • For Sale, by Love Is In The Air on Apr 14, 2023 16:02:29 GMT 1, I spoke to Arusha and you can collect the print from their galleries in London and Edinburgh for free, so that's quite a nice option if they have some left now and the courier cost put you off.
Also print is digital as others have said, which is not ideal, but it is hand finished so I think that helps make the print decent value. I'm pretty sure it will sell out today.

Damien Hirst - The Beautiful Paintings, by Love Is In The Air on Apr 2, 2023 16:39:10 GMT 1, I've really gone back and forth on these and I'm still not sure what to think even after playing around with the app for a couple of days and reading the whole thread on here, which is a lot more downbeat than I was expecting.
My very first thought was WHAT IS HIRST DOING? Up until now the Heni stuff has been relatively cheap for all to own, but printed on metal or unsigned or whatever, keeping it well apart from the more expensive works he makes. But this project is on canvas and signed on the front. I get Hirst isn't painting them and they might end up looking a bit cheap, but the option is still there now for pretty much anyone who likes Hirst and has a few quid or a credit card to own a signed Hirst canvas. Speaking to several dealers, they agreed with me, this will annoy/piss off lots of collectors potentially with deep pockets who currently have Hirst Spins or small Hirst canvasses on the wall. He is surely killing at least a part of the top end of his market? Or annoying many people who might have been considering bidding hundreds of thousands at auction for his work? Feels a short term or risky move to me(but I am sure they know a lot more than me about the art world).
My other thought was why isn't he limiting these to say 500 each size in an edition (even if all 500 unique colours) and charging 10 or 30 times the price? I guess because the way they are made means he can produce tons of them for next to nothing now they have the software....but i think a limited number would make them more sought after.
I've had fun trying to make the perfect one for myself, not sure I have achieved it but I have made a few I like so I'll likely buy a small one based on the feedback of the quality. I also presumed these might re-sell ok if you held for a year or two but then reading this thread changed my mind.....people are right that ultimately the colours are a very personal choice AND the issue is Hirst didn't choose the colours, Paul from Stoke did and this will perhaps help to keep the resale value down IMHO. So I think buy if you like them and continue to slate if you dont.
Lastly, it's an interesting project and app to create the spins IMHO but it comes so quickly after so many other Hirst/Heni combos, you wouldn't be confident about this app not being used on some other project at a later date, or some other signed canvas prints being just around the corner. This era seems to be Hirst just playing the greatest hits over and over with minor variations, or in this individual case, perhaps I am playing the track for him and he just comes in and signs it off as his song at the end...

Harland Miller - Luv, by Love Is In The Air on Mar 7, 2023 16:48:35 GMT 1, Had the same concerns as others about the colour palette on this one and I would have contrasted L & U more myself BUT there is a slight difference on the finished works and for me the print is his best non-penguin print to date.
Have been lucky enough to get a glimpse of one of these in the flesh and as with many Manifold prints, there are lots of layers and it feels as close to a hand finished print from Harland as I would ever get a chance to buy. Appreciate some don't like his non-penguins and some don't like Manifold, but anyone on the forum who buys one of these, I don't think will be disappointed. The quality of the print is fantastic and I am keeping fingers crossed I can get one.

If I had spare funds I would have messaged by now. GLWTS

., by Love Is In The Air on Mar 5, 2023 17:10:42 GMT 1, Apologies Met I wasn't meaning to suggest they were expensive official prints from the estate - the price tag of £100 OBO as a charity donation for the pair when they are in large frames should have hopefully been a clue to anyone! Trev and myself both had a good look around to try to find their origins but struggled to turn up anything. I had wondered if they might be prints made for an exhibition of some kind back in the 80s. The paper they are printed on seems to be decent quality and it is more if someone thinks they look nice and like Bacon but are on a budget, they might be of some use.
Appreciate your comment though, if only to bump the thread which may improve chances of raising some money for charity. Cheers

Banksy • Girl With Red Balloon Print, by Love Is In The Air on Feb 11, 2023 20:11:06 GMT 1, I’ve never dropped this much on a print but have bought and sold some Banksys and I would say if you can spend a bit more to get one without Matt burn I would do it. I say this just because if you ever need to sell it this will make things smoother/quicker. So totally agree with High Contrast. Also if spending £50k+ on any print I would aim to get one with as good as condition as possible. Pretty obvious thing to say but if 5k more gets you a much better one it’s 5% extra initial cost but just long term puts you in a much better position. Good luck with the purchase, am very jealous!

Thierry Noir 🇨🇵 Berlin Wall • French Street Arist , by Love Is In The Air on Feb 3, 2023 23:28:36 GMT 1, Hi Art Attackk,
Looking at the eBay pics it 'looks' like there is a large line mark or discolouration from just below the eye to the neck on the canvas, almost as if something has made it go from gold to brown.
I doubt very much this is the case or you would have mentioned it, so it might be worth taking a new pic or explaining the mark on here as I looked and thought it would put me off if I was bidding. I imagine it could be the reflection but thought I would ask so you can clear it up on here as I reckon it might help boost the sale.
I can see you have a solid reference on here too so good luck with the sale and if nothing else this post will give you another bump! Cheers

HM ICA Artists edition, by Love Is In The Air on Feb 3, 2023 19:36:37 GMT 1, I'm not good with tech so cant get photos from it, but Frame London the official framing partner has put up a reel which appears to show an AP version of the print.
Downside is the border for me, but the colours look nice and bright on some shots which was what made the print attractive to me so hopefully any buyers will be happy with what they see here:

HM ICA Artists edition, by Love Is In The Air on Feb 3, 2023 17:54:20 GMT 1, I think the edition size helped to move it quicker than some expected....it is still a decent sized Harland for sub 10k and lots of people like to buy from source.
Agree the border is a bit of a problem. I wouldn't be surprised if Paragon/Manifold have some kind of agreement going forward for him to only do their editions right to the edge. It makes them more desirable and also means they can make them more like an original painting with the printing techniques they use which lift them above basic screenprints. They charge significantly more than these prints (which means more money for Harland too).

Banksy @ Phillips , by Love Is In The Air on Jan 18, 2023 21:30:10 GMT 1, You didn’t put all the Banksy results in High Contrast…..not sure if it was deliberate tactic but the ones you didn’t mention fared less well IMHO - so perhaps a sign that only the “classic” images will command big premiums going forward??
GWB US 109.6k all in Laugh Now US 75.6k Toxic Mary signed 31.5k Barcode Unsigned 30.2k WSM US 15.1k
All roughly within current Banksy Value website estimates except the Laugh Now - wonder if they think they’ve bought a signed one?!!

Damien Hirst Spot Prints, by Love Is In The Air on Dec 28, 2022 13:49:39 GMT 1, I'm stuck on my laptop all day today supposedly working so just did a quick scout around as I was intrigued what these are worth too. Not sure how much help I will be, but that was the aim!
ABC hadn't seen one sell recently, and I think that's probably because there is not much data out there.
Most recent auction sale I can see for Lanatoside B is way back in January 2020 for 15k.
www.phillips.com/detail/damien-hirst/UK030120/164?fromSearch=damien%20hirst&searchPage=3
My Art broker now value it with the vagueness of 20-30k but dont offer any data to back this up.
www.myartbroker.com/artist-damien-hirst/collection-spots/artwork-lanatoside-b-signed-print
There is a bit more guidance for Vipera Lebetina with a Tate Ward sale in March for £23,750 all in (so perhaps 18kish hammer).
www.tateward.com/auction/lot/lot-185---damien-hirst-british-1965--vipera-lebetina-2011/?lot=12015&so=0&st=&sto=0&au=71&ef=&et=&ic=False&sd=1&pp=96&pn=2&g=1
There was also a Christies auction in July where it fared less well and pulled in $8,190. I haven't looked at any condition reports on these tbf but that is obviously quite a price difference.
onlineonly.christies.com/s/contemporary-edition/damien-hirst-b-1965-19/157150?ldp_breadcrumb=back
Should also state that I think both these prints appear to be the same size from my nosing around. Although ABC put Vipera Lebetina as a smaller print, I believe it to be sheet size 705mm x 635mm with the image size 483 x 432 mm for both, at least according to the auctions. That would make both these prints perhaps similar ballparks in price, so perhaps the two auctions this year may act as some kind of vague guide, although the Christies one looked cheap to me and Lanatoside B has brighter colours which to me would be favourable anyway.
Not sure if this will help but at least if someone was thinking of offering on Vipera Lebetina there are some sales in the last year, even if they are wildly different!
