Hanging a frame with a single nail, by k2 on Aug 23, 2018 16:17:18 GMT 1, Don’t want to start another thread so hopefully someone sees this. Does anyone have a link to buy the little pads that protect the back of the frame? Mine just fell off. You can just search for 'felt pads' on Amazon or something. I think I got 100 of them for under a fiver from The Range (I think they're intended for the legs of furniture, but do the same job).

Tray framing canvas, by k2 on Aug 22, 2018 22:46:23 GMT 1, Tray framed a big Jago canvas and it transformed the piece to the next level. Also framed a sizeable Mehdi canvas to protect it as much as anything else. Looks great
Did the same with a Mehdi canvas recently for the same reason. Felt more fragile than other canvases of a similar size and I was worried a corner might get a knock or something.

Gonefellow 🇬🇧 Print Release • Street Art • Art For Sale, by k2 on Aug 19, 2018 16:16:34 GMT 1, Because it was from a smaller edition held by the people who made the print. It is from an edition of 10. Much like artist proofs, printer’s proof are a side edition held by people who do the work making it. They’re never released for public availability. You could only get one if you were part of the team. I have one of those. From an edition of only 10. I know exactly what a printers proof is thanks, but so what? It's exactly the same print as the other 100, yes?
I agree with you. Rare for rare’s sake.
If the image is identical, it should be treated as if it’s 1 from an edition of 110 rather than some super exclusive edition that commands a different value.
Exclusivity becoming almost more important than the image itself is rather vulgar in my opinion.

Your latest Art Purchase?, by k2 on Aug 15, 2018 14:58:59 GMT 1, Busy week, far too much driving, and had to get the forest shipped flat (1 day before the horror story showed up on here, so was very nervous about it's arrival!). Pejac - Scattercrow Pejac - A Forest
Your photo of A Forest includes the edition number. Might be interesting to *someone* to see who flipped theirs so quickly, so you might want to redact that to spare their embarrassment.
Alternatively, f**k'em

Banksy • Sale Ends Today, by k2 on Aug 14, 2018 20:39:47 GMT 1, There is an email on this site somewhere about the COA. I can't remember where, but i read it and it did state COA's only being issued to original owner. Maybe ask someone who got one as i think the person who won one put the email up.
I think that was the rule for the crucifix rather than this print.

ROA - Stolenspace - September 2018, by k2 on Aug 14, 2018 11:21:56 GMT 1, I'm not surprised this hasn't been mentioned on here yet as there won't be a print to flip or argue about, but personally I'm very excited for this one. Having been lucky to travel to a number of his shows, the Stolenspace installations are still up there with the best. Looking forward to seeing what he does this time around.
Details below:
It is with great excitement that StolenSpace Gallery presents the new solo showcase by Belgian artist, ROA.
Peering from secluded alleyways, or creeping across crumbing walls, ROA’s monochromatic beasts can be found hiding across the cities of t he world, from London, Berlin to New York, Los Angeles and recently Casablanca and Cape Town. ROA’s reputation as a master muralist has grown exponentially, and his gallery works are no less impressive to behold.
Portraying animals on a massive scale and in stark contrast to their urban surroundings, their black and white appearance giving them a ghostlike presence. ROA’s intention is to query the relationship between man and animal, the urban relationship with nature and the manner in which we force it to adapt for survival, choosing remote and derelict locations to mirror our own unsympathetic treatment of the natural world and the creatures which inhabit it.
Now returning to StolenSpace for his third takeover of the gallery, ROA will be creating on site a fresh cohort of Bestia Animalibus, using reclaimed materials to create multi-dimensional, interactive works of art to beautifully illustrate the precarious connection between man and beast.

WANTED • What Art are you Searching for?, by k2 on Aug 14, 2018 11:11:02 GMT 1, I don't know if people are aware of the word artist Robert Montgomery but I adore this. If you have it and it is gathering dust, let me know. You probably know this already, but seems to be available at source -http://www.robertmontgomery.org/shop/x4ddgid20end4s9cfergj78paqhmoj
I knew it looked familiar, sort of - my brother has this piece (same wording, different image) - www.robertmontgomery.org/shop/6pe8fed0dq6vk0zrk019thir5mbtdo - much cheaper, but a larger edition.

For Sale : Vandalized road sign., by k2 on Aug 13, 2018 19:26:52 GMT 1, Just one last clip i made. I still don't know how to post the video's except with the short-link. streamable.com/rem3lI am making my way through all the kind/rude/funny messages i received after posting the original post. And i will try and reply to you all. This process is not immediate as the pile is mountainous so please bear with me. Thank you for the kind comments on the duvet cover by the way.
The videos look a bit odd and do have that augmented reality feel to them. In the most recent video, the sign seems to be moving on its own.
If it is genuine, you might be better off posting a video of you holding it in your hand and moving it about, turning it over etc.
As it stands, it does look a bit shady. Not saying that it is, just that the videos aren’t helping...

Pejac Paris show June 20th - 24th, by k2 on Aug 13, 2018 15:02:20 GMT 1, So, anybody from EU already received the mini-prints (the batch that they were supposed to send after running out)? Mine arrived this morning, in the UK. A little worse for wear in a couple of the corners, but pleasantly surprised by the quality of it.
To be honest it has softened the blow of not getting lucky in the lottery - I like the image, but it's fairly sombre and I'm not sure I'd enjoy it on the wall at full size.

I saw it too. Had a large Laugh now in the background I think. He also posted a sketch of one of the Paris rats, also now deleted.

Pejac Artwork, VALUATION, by k2 on Aug 11, 2018 17:58:09 GMT 1, watchcount.com says that an offer of 4000GBP was accepted. No idea if that’s accurate. Any reason to suggest why watchcount.com might not be accurate? I have no idea. I wasn't the buyer or the seller. I assume watchcount is generally accurate, but have no information to back that up.

Pejac Artwork, VALUATION, by k2 on Aug 11, 2018 15:18:38 GMT 1, Bit rarer. £5000+. Most have an issue with tab damage at the bottom of the border btw but very small and doesn’t take away from the image. Did the Forest on Ebay sell?

The Art of BAST, by k2 on Aug 3, 2018 21:44:07 GMT 1, Does anyone have any information about this print? I.e Edition size, realease, and who's depicted in the image? Thanks! Can't help with info about the edition, but the image is a mugshot of one of the men who escaped (or attempted to) from Alcatraz in the 60s. Happened to see a documentary about it a couple of weeks ago, and recognise the face.

Blu 🇮🇹 Bologna Street Art • Print Release • Art For Sale, by k2 on Jul 26, 2018 16:38:51 GMT 1, Not quite as much, but a large ROA drawing sold last week for 11,500 Euro. Gallery, not private. To be fair it was fairly enormous in comparison (110x85cm) and one of the nicer ones I've seen, but it still surprised me. I felt it was overpriced and was daydreaming about buying it when the price dropped by 50%, but sadly (for me) that won't happen now.
For what it's worth, I'd love to see the large BLU that you mentioned. Not because I can afford it, just because it's bound to be lovely.

Loads of art for sale, by k2 on Jul 19, 2018 22:22:43 GMT 1, I did it from my iPhone and couldn’t see a way to add photos.. i have very little time as it is with three kids which I did not have when I first had the website.. I’m not sure why I’m explaining myself to you lot I thought people who were interested would just ask for photos didn’t seem to be a big deal.. not to me anyway.. when I get 5 minutes to myself I will go on my computer and upload photos.. maybe that please some people
No wonder your gallery didn’t work out - considering you are attempting to sell something, your attitude is quite staggering.

Retna’s weekend meltdowns, by k2 on Jul 18, 2018 22:52:43 GMT 1, As far as 'abstract typography' goes, I'm a big fan of Scott Albrecht's work. The craftsmanship is fantastic, and the differing depths of the shapes work really well in the flesh.

Pejac • A Forest Print, by k2 on Jul 18, 2018 17:06:30 GMT 1, Simple to sort. Everyone got a number. There were 80 winners. Just post the 80 winning numbers, same as the winning numbers on T.V when you do the lottery. Then you check your number to see if you won. SIMPLE AS THAT This kind of transparency would be very refreshing.

Pejac • A Forest Print, by k2 on Jul 18, 2018 14:51:46 GMT 1, what is strange is that the entire preview night was made of forum members. Parisians didnt have a clue who pejac was so even those visiting for the rest of the week probably came from the forum. I must know more than 100 people that visited that show and bought a lottery ticket. Multiple lottery tickets. Yet i dont know anyone that actually won!!! Has anyone actually got a drawing??? Ok let me ask; has anyone actually got a drawing / print / other original work, that isnt able to influence (con) others into thinking they need to buy no matter what the price. It seems to me that Max has again ensured prints and drawings have gone to the suck - as**es. Its a dangerous game when only a select few are able to buy his work yet ffor everyone else its impossible to get work from an artist that hasnt actually achieved very much Its no exageration to say he is unknown outside of this forum, the only ones propping up his market are the elite few still throwing money at him because they believe they have the monopoly on his secondary market. im not a framer, im not a plum with more money than sense. I was a genuine fan and made the effort to see the 'non - selling' show in Venice (no free sherbet dabs for guessing who bought those). i made the effort to see the Paris show and bought 5 lottery ticketsand suprisngly still have nothing. If i am happy to pay £5k i can buy a print from any one of the franchishee's. Why should i line the pockets of someone else just because they are up Max's a@@rse. Ironically the same game that managed Dran in the early days when the select few banked as much Dran as they could. Step outside the forum and ask if anyone and ask if anyone has heard of Pejac. The Paris show, the print, the lottery, the Venice show, it stink of market manipulation. And now everyone is hyping Crypta Djan just to suck up to Max, seriously take a step back and open your eyes. F@@@k Pejac and F@@k Suben Art Managmenti wont waste another £20 trying to get an artist that has no CV , let alone lining the pockets of the elite (read: ar@@se kissers) granted access to his work for the sole intention of doubling or trippling their money and creating false hype
For what it’s worth, I bought a drawing (or more accurately, my wife did) despite us never having spoken to Max before, and we have zero influence with anyone. Even our dog takes no notice of us. However we haven’t actually received it yet so perhaps we should be kissing arse a little more.
Saying that, I don’t disagree with what you’re saying to some degree. I found the tone of some of the communication and the implied exclusivity a little distasteful.
Edit: not for sale, no more PMs please.

F@@@k Pejac and F@@k Suben Art Managmenti wont waste another £20 trying to get an artist that has no CV , let alone lining the pockets of the elite (read: ar@@se kissers) granted access to his work for the sole intention of doubling or trippling their money and creating false hype For what it’s worth, I bought a drawing (or more accurately, my wife did) despite us never having spoken to Max before, and we have zero influence with anyone.
