TOX09 from Souled out studios., by stickitup on Jan 12, 2010 14:40:09 GMT 1, you just underlined what I was going on about with that statement. Getting up is clearly a concept you do not understand. Try picking up a can of paint and putting your name up in every train yard and siding in London and all over the streets of London then come back and say you you can't respect it. Is his tag nice to look at? most would agree not, but the print is a thing of concept not artisitic tallent.

TOX09 from Souled out studios., by stickitup on Jan 11, 2010 14:54:00 GMT 1, what separates the understanding of what it represents is probably the gap between going out and hitting the streets and simply sitting there talking about an art collection. those that know respect, those that don't wonder what the fuss is about

CALLING ALL GRAPHIC DESIGNERS, by stickitup on Dec 22, 2009 15:00:09 GMT 1, you want the whole title right?.....would be an understatement to say it won't take a long time to do something half decent, or by logo are you meaning you want a graphic for the blog?

What could POW do to make the Banksy NBG fair, by stickitup on Dec 15, 2009 16:01:11 GMT 1, not too sure how to define fair...But in this instance the fair seems to hinge along the line of everyone gets an equal chance of getting their mits on a print. I could have gone to line up in the cold if money had been my motivation and made a decent amount of money from it, and this seems to have been the motivation for a lot of people. This places the fans against the flippers and generally if everyone thinks this is not right they may not support POWs other artists? I would seriously consider not buying from them if I thought they were not treating everyone fairly - despite how much I might like a print. TBH I didn't win but am not fussed, its no big deal, I am not super skint and I have plenty of other art to hang on my walls

What could POW do to make the Banksy NBG fair, by stickitup on Dec 15, 2009 14:05:01 GMT 1, everyone seems to have their own opinion about the No Ball Games print and how POW could have handled it differently. Make a stand, vote with your fingers POW may even take note, then again may just dismiss it "keep your wacky ideas firmly in your head where they belong"

Banksy • No Ball Games GREY, by stickitup on Dec 11, 2009 16:14:55 GMT 1, this stuff amazes me. do people actually like this piece of crap or is it just the kudos of owning a piece of paper which may have a "banksy" squiggle on it? lets be honest, you'd be slighty mad to give the best part of a grand for what have had to admit is s**te IMO, let alone queue outside freezing your plums/lips off for the pleasure. i like banksy don't get me wrong but this is $hite! if i win one in an auction (in there from the previous....) you can have it at cost you dont like it then.

Banksy • No Ball Games GREY, by stickitup on Dec 11, 2009 16:09:26 GMT 1, But they do have a golden opportunity to make a heap of cash for many charities which are feeling the pinch from there being less cash about. Anyway whats the rules for letting your mate in, or leaving the queue to get a snack/have a pee and then rejoining where you were?

Banksy • No Ball Games GREY, by stickitup on Dec 11, 2009 15:55:11 GMT 1, missed a golden opportunity to raise a heap of money for charity, they could have done 1st come 1st served and also a lottery and an online lottery, its not that hard to please everybody all the time. They've done 2 of the 3, I don't see how a lottery instore would be that different to the online lottery. Charity?? people would not have to queue all night or those that cannot make the queue could increase their chances by doing half way between queueing and online lottery - also increases feet through the door, which seems to be high on most peoples list of why pow have gone for a 1st come 1st served basis. And then of course charity of pows choice gets the 50k generated by lottery tickets sold.

Can anyone recommend a good international shipper?, by stickitup on Dec 11, 2009 14:26:28 GMT 1, depends on budget and how fragile what you are sending. Specialist artshippers like Gander and White will do a great job but will cost a lot and they are more suited to taking large high value works. Use a domestic shipper like UPS, FedEx, DHL if you don't want to pay the high prices, one thing though DO NOT use TNT they lost so many things when I worked at an international shipping company, one time the driver of their truck stopped and someone jumped in his truck and drove it away losing all the contents somewhere along the way....
