Mr mental health , by Icesay on Mar 21, 2023 19:38:51 GMT 1, Hey man, good work for putting something up. Whatever helps with your mental health in terms of art cannot be a bad thing. That said no-one thought this was Banksy so don't sweat that.

Robert Del Naja "No Surrender" SOLD, by Icesay on Mar 15, 2023 20:14:13 GMT 1, Really, you put up threads looking to buy all kinds of works. You're either a dealer or have a ridiculous amount of wall space. What do you do with all the pieces you put up searches for and presumably buy? Do you sell art in Dubai? Inquiring minds want to know.

Banksy Stamps release @ Ukraine, by Icesay on Mar 8, 2023 21:24:21 GMT 1, The thing with some collectors is they are almost certainly neuro-diverse. When you notice that someone has a need to constantly check something, that probably should affect the comments you make. Be kind or if not be human.

Heni x Invader 'Rubikcubism', by Icesay on Feb 3, 2023 22:58:30 GMT 1, These are terrible. Do not buy them. Awful. In no way are these a good idea. What the fuck are you doing Invader? And don't give me that crap about making them available to all this price point. These are nothing like a print on paper. Shiny, reflective, tacky and absolutely lacking any soul. Buy at your own risk. These are not what you want on your wall. Hirst got away with a couple but he can afford to laugh last!

Banksy Welcome Mat, by Icesay on Jan 26, 2023 20:49:32 GMT 1, Yeah how much is it worth? Show me the money! How rich am I? Look at my investment. Anyone talking about these things should realise that if these things matter to you at this level, you are proper fucked! You are talking about a mat made by refugees. The purpose of which was to try and support some poor people from the horror of their circumstances. Label stiched in whatever way does not even slightly matter. That's!

Banksy Welcome Mat, by Icesay on Jan 17, 2023 21:07:57 GMT 1, GDP was just a joke really to have a retail space to challenge and establish a copyright wasn't it? Cushions, cans and Basquiat. It half worked but then the conglomerate realised that having a commercial arm of the business ruined the use. You can't be a guerilla artist when you value your stock over your message. Plus it's not in keeping with your carefully curated persona.

Banksy in Kiev, Ukraine ๐บ๐ฆ, by Icesay on Nov 10, 2022 20:34:16 GMT 1, Found on facebook, looks like him. and i need more words to start the post:) Clearly Banksy. Martial law as a title? I called it first. Not really sure why they felt the need. There isnt really any satire to be had. Shitshow. Did it take the team this long to come with this....yawn. So many more smarter ideas to be had....pipelines being cut, bridges destroyed, nuclear annihilation etc. Where is the edge? Bit tame and sadly I can't help feeling Banksy is fading. Ironically towards being nothing more than a side note. Gutted. Every artist needs progression but the PR machine tried and tested needs freshening up.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by Icesay on Oct 18, 2022 19:13:10 GMT 1, These will rise when all the hubbub of NFT crawl down the hole. An OG Hirst cheaper than a print won't last for ever. Feel free to quote me on that. Granted we may all have been nuked by then but somewhere in the rubble one person will have made a killing!

Banksy's on eBay โข Real or Fake?, by Icesay on Oct 8, 2022 20:04:42 GMT 1, Thanks for the heads up! I definitely won't be looking on ebay at those links. We just cannot get allow ourselves to get sucked in to this fraudster. Something must be done to stop unsuspecting collectors being manipulated. Don't ever buy Banksy prints really cheaply, they probably won't be real.

New release Equilibrium by Martin Whatson (Lottery), by Icesay on Oct 7, 2022 19:50:58 GMT 1, Seems quite strange to go to enormous lengths, and use considerable skill, not Whatson's I notice but a wood engravers (not that that matters), to replicate another form of printing technique, stencils. As a printmaker it feels unnatural, to me the beauty of printmaking is to use techniques to their best advantage and enjoy the character each technique brings to the prints. Not try and make one process look like another. But certainly very skilled wood cutting involved. Demonstrably poor take here. You concede the skill of the woodcutter but disparage the process as a 'replication' of a STENCIL lmao. The Musivaria mosaics are another 'replication' of stencils/acrylic, both the woodcutting and stone mosaic work serve to elevate the imagery. The choice of paper, image size, even custom framing are evidence of the the thought and care put into this project. If you can't appreciate that as a gallery yourself, I might suggest a new line of work or at least put some sugar in your salt shaker and lighten up. I think that's pretty insulting to Atom Gallery. Also replication whilst complimentary is not by definition the essence of invention. You can't elevate a stencil by changing the medium by which it is produced. If I create a drawing and then ask someone to replicate it using a different technique is doesn't become better. It's a copy of original intent. It is essentially polishing a turd. Be nice, we all have opinions.

Invader โข Sunset, by Icesay on Oct 2, 2022 18:35:47 GMT 1, I really like the fact Invader gets up and does his thing but the actual prints aren't really art in the sense of true skill and ability. Literally anyone can make comparable pieces. Plenty if examples on here. There's no doubt Invader has earned a place in street art history but his work like so many before him has become a cash cow for others. He doesn't even paint the tiles like the Romans or create original images. He just travels round and sticks up 30 second blocks of colour. No-one sits in their lounge and ponders his work though, at best it reminds old people that their computer game in 1980 was the best day of their life. Analogue was simple and boring as fuck

Damien Hirst โข The Currency Unique Prints, by Icesay on Sept 24, 2022 23:24:40 GMT 1, Yes , in the context of the experiment. I would expect these would go to nft holders to encourage future transactions and therefore live up to the whole premise of the currency. You could almost observe similarities to fiscal policies etc blah blah can't be arsed to explain.

Damien Hirst โข The Currency Unique Prints, by Icesay on Sept 24, 2022 19:10:08 GMT 1, Personally, I think these should be offered to people who didn't manage to get a currency in the first place. Just to even things up a bit. At least not make it all about those that are already holders. I will register my interest like everyone and hope for the best, I just don't like the idea it is weighted in favour of people that are already quite lucky to have got one. Nice idea but a bit naive imo. Surely these will go mainly to nft holders so they have something physical in return for sticking with the experiment? Why else would DH hold his? Those who redeemed for physic, wallet or not have already made their choice and those who weren't part of the experiment can't add any data.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by Icesay on Sept 16, 2022 18:08:29 GMT 1, I would bother if I were you. I actually have bought one and there is one good reason not to. I think the art touches the perspe, there are no spacers. Really concerning that this will damage the artwork. Far better to get it framed by a good framer. The actuall Heni frame I do quite like but having framed one of my currency pieces in it, I decided to take it out and book it in to be framed properly.

Dan Kitchener Queen Print, by Icesay on Sept 11, 2022 18:07:44 GMT 1, Yep absolutely you should do. Has some excellent skills, his work is well known and I particularly like the pieces he does with neon reflections on wet days...very evocative. You should check his stuff out and maybe post what you think. Maybe not your cup of tea.

Damien Hirst NFT "The Currency", by Icesay on Sept 1, 2022 20:05:41 GMT 1, For what its worth I think they are going fairly big with the party idea. I suspect anyone that can, and does apply, will be able to go. Less likely on the preview due to capacity, but i think the party itself will be decent, and probably a few surprises included. Cant imagine its Spin paintings being given out or anything this time, but they will throw some money at it in one way or another, based on past experience. It was a ballache to apply, instructions weren't that great but by persevering I think I must have earned the right to get a ticket! Nft, discord , palm, eth. .. I literally knew nothing about them before this project. Think DH has gone some way to introducing these things to the masses. Suppose that is actually the message...decentralisation! Fooked if I know

Is the urban art market slowing down?, by Icesay on Aug 30, 2022 18:50:16 GMT 1, Yes I think there is a slow down in some areas. Some artists are immune from the impact and others aren't. With the current economic situation ordinary people won't have the disposable cash to spunk on average art so flippers and investors will go for the sure thing. The few hundred dollar flippers will probably move to something else more essential.
