Pejac - So Far, So Close, by Icesay on Mar 1, 2022 18:27:22 GMT 1, Wonder how many will pass. It's not exactly a cheap print.
It's not exactly a great print either. If you are going to make an observation about how futile conflict is or how cyclical human behaviour is, it needs to be more nuanced. This is just really basic. The real conflict is a digital one. Also appalling timing.

Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by Icesay on Feb 24, 2022 23:51:57 GMT 1, No blind confidence here - Hirst's price only ever go up, that's fact not fiction! Ignore these mickey mouse options to purchase. Once the physical's get delivered we will see them in Auctions around the world selling for many thousands over initial cost. Even the NFT's that appear "cheap", add on costs, VAT and delivery and all is not what it seem's The year is 2023, Artfan2011 and Riotcops are in their respective homes enjoying their Damien Hirst Empress print hanging beautifully on the wall. Artfan2011 thinks to themselves, "I'm so glad I purchased this piece primary for $3500, it has appreciated greatly". Riotcops thinks to himself, "I'm so glad I chose the Mickey Mouse option and paid 80% of primary". The fact, these have and are selling below cost at this very moment makes your statement of "fact" a real head scratcher. Perhaps, "Hirst's price only ever go up" after they go down just a bit? The VAT and delivery also applies to those who bought physical. Anyhow, I wish you all the best with your future flip - I do sincerely believe the physicals will do well. However, my prediction to be able to buy one of these below cost after the release proved accurate.
Who cares really, its glitter printed on some plastic aluminium diasec something or other. Really poor overall. It may or may not sell in the future for more than the original price which is entirely irrelevant. Anyone could buy it, it's not limited and has been done so many times before. Most of them look like like rugs to be honest.

Banksy • Peckham Rock Postcard, by Icesay on Feb 24, 2022 21:33:21 GMT 1, The provenance concerns on these have always confused me, I’m not aware of anyone having ever seen (or been fooled by) a fake one. It seems that they are pretty easily authenticated just by looking at and holding them. But I guess if I ever sell one I’ll provide a copy of the receipt if the buyer wants to see it, for whatever that’s worth. I suppose IF these were to rise more in price, theres a good chance fake ones might come out, as i cant imagine them being hard to fake,so it offers owners a little bit of insurance and piece of mind having the receipt, i know it would me
No-one is going to fake these.

Cleon Peterson Seeker Print, by Icesay on Feb 23, 2022 20:42:12 GMT 1, Still reckon his prints are undervalued and he’s got the potential to be a big artist. I agree that he's undervalued massively. Some of his prints are stunning for example World on Fire and Flowers of Evil. It's all a speculation for now and unfortunately a lot of artists are valued more on their passing.
Absolutely think has potential, instantly recognisable, a few less literally bloodthirsty images and more metaphorical and I think will explode.

Pest Control COA • Banksy Print Authentication, by Icesay on Feb 19, 2022 21:22:16 GMT 1, linkOnce upon a time, intensive surveillance was a prerogative of states. After the arrival of the internet, and especially the rise of companies such as Google and Facebook, ISPs (internet service providers) and mobile networks, it became a prerogative shared between the state and private companies – corporations that log everything you do online. Surveillance became a kind of public-private partnership. The companies do much of the work and readily cooperate with security agencies when they come armed with a warrant. Way back in 2009 the German Green politician Malte Spitz went to court to obtain the data that his mobile phone operator, Deutsche Telekom, held on him and then collaborated with the newspaper Die Zeit to analyse and visualise it. What emerged was a remarkably detailed timeline of his daily life, a timeline that would have been readily available to state authorities if they had come for it with appropriate legal authorisation. But in internet time 2009 was aeons ago. Now, intensive surveillance is available to anyone. And you don’t have to be a tech wizard to do it. In mid-January this year, Kashmir Hill, a talented American tech reporter, used three bits of everyday consumer electronics – Apple AirTags, Tiles and a GPS tracker – to track her husband’s every move. He agreed to this in principle, but didn’t realise just how many devices she had planted on him. He found only two of the trackers: a Tile he felt in the breast pocket of his coat and an AirTag in his backpack when he was looking for something else. “It is impossible to find a device that makes no noise and gives no warning,” he said when she showed him the ones he missed. Intensive surveillance is available to anyone. And you don’t have to be a tech wizard to do it Hill’s report makes for sobering reading. AirTags and Tiles are products sold to help consumers find lost objects. But her experience confirms that these gadgets are also pretty good for tracking people and, being small and unobtrusive, are easy to plant on targets. Of the three Hill used, the GPS tracker was the most intrusive. The manufacturer describes it on Amazon.com as “the ultimate in discreet tracking! Keep track of movement in real time with your very own private eye.” As far as the Hill household was concerned, it certainly delivered on that promise. If you wanted a case study for how a particular piece of technology can be both used and abused, these tracking devices really fit the bill. On the one hand, there are all kinds of excellent uses for gizmos such as AirTags or Tiles. Many people (including me) use them to keep track of frequently mislaid objects such as house keys. On a less mundane level, a German activist, Lilith Wittmann, had a suspicion that a particular mundane government agency was a front for a spy operation, a hunch that was stoutly denied by all concerned. Reasoning that one way of checking might be to see where post addressed to the agency actually wound up, she sent a parcel with an AirTag in it to the agency and watched through Apple’s Find My system as it was delivered via the Berlin sorting centre to a sorting office in Cologne-Ehrenfeld and then appeared at the federal domestic intelligence agency in Cologne. On the other hand, there have been examples of people being followed or stalked using AirTags. And bad actors have also found other malign uses for them, for example, tagging valuable personal property (expensive handbags) as well as cars and bikes targeted for theft. Suddenly, AirTags seem less cool than they appeared when they were launched. Which is doubtless why Apple recently announced a number of new measures and forthcoming technical fixes clearly intended to head off what could become a public-relations nightmare if the abuse of AirTags led to the death or injury of a victim of stalking. Let’s hope that these changes make the tech safer. In the meantime, where did I leave those blasted keys?
You didn't Google all that did you?!

Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by Icesay on Feb 17, 2022 13:30:17 GMT 1, I came across this thread with the intention of learning about the cross over of art/NFT enthusiasts. Sadly it's instead being used as a platform to fire shots at other unknowns for no reason other than tactical art buying/flipping/whatever self validation. Whilst flipping might not be morally correct, surely there are better things you can do with your time than berate others?! I was hoping for information and community you miserable lot!
Nice 1st post! 😀

Artists You Might Not Know, by Icesay on Feb 14, 2022 21:20:23 GMT 1, Just come across this artist, think it looks cool (much like Miaz Brothers), imagine the original would be really impressive http://instagr.am/p/CZuG4AHM0OR There won’t be copies available on this release date. Stowe are doing pre sales and probably sold already. Drop them an email if interested.
Personally really like this...the og looks very nice, with lots of detail. Be difficult for a print to capture it, I don't even know what one of the processes is!

Why are you so obsessive about how much these are trading for dude? Seems like you go after anyone questioning or making observations....I've heard of protecting an investment but it's a bit overkill don't ya think?

I think the big deal is that glitter is being thrown around willy nilly these days!

Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by Icesay on Feb 12, 2022 19:28:08 GMT 1, These truly are fantastic prints. I’m really happy I decided to pull the trigger on these 5 minutes before the deadline. When I first heard about this new edition I was excited but then I started reading all the negative comments and became hesitant. It’s so important to follow your gut. Also at this price for a signed Hirst it’s definitely a bargain. Can’t wait to receive them. Congrats to all that purchased.
The sticker is signed and the print isn't. That does really make a difference tbh.

Do not frame like this.....please.

Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by Icesay on Feb 10, 2022 15:02:21 GMT 1, I didn't buy any in the end because it looked like glitter was external. If you read the thread I previously asked if glitter was sealed in and was told it was, turns out not. It's very interesting that you chose to ask that question. In an alternative reality there is someone with ulterior motives. I can't inquire about a post that you made? What's even more interesting is that you would post "for sale" considering you don't have one to sell.

Rubbish....no-one missed out as was available for a week! Personqlly I could have purchased a set but it bothers me how they are finished. I don't want dust and hair sticking to them and see no good reason to frame a print of this type.

Damien Hirst H10 • The Empresses, by Icesay on Feb 9, 2022 19:37:55 GMT 1, Where did you get that pic from? It doesn't look like one of the Heni prints to me. It's too thick and doesn't have the clear perspex front to it. Maybe it's some sort of test print or proto-type. From the gallery once I found the correct buzzer and navigated myself to floor 1. The aspects which are even thicker have 4-5mm perspex on the front as well as 4-5mm dibond on the back (disasec). The Virtues are just Giclee's mounted on dibond and laminated like The Empresses without the addiotnal screen printed glitter. No idea what Heni prints you are referring too. Also just clarify this as per Heni's site: Materials: Laminated Giclée print on aluminium composite, screen printed with glitter.
So will be like a James Joyce, Nick Smith or any other 'diamond dust' pieces you have seen. Also, you can't run a sheet of paper with glitter through a laminating machine it would be a right mess. The only solution would be to pour a resin on the top and let set. Unless Heni have switched the piece at the gallery I can assure you this glitter is exposed. If you look at H2 Colour Chart next door that is also exposed glitter as per the description here except the main graphic/art was printed directly onto aluminium panels with a flatbed UV printer: Screenprint with glitter on UV printed brushed aluminium panel
FS....I asked if glitter was sealed in and someone said it was. Crap.
Where did you get that pic from?
