A small gentle observation, that may be interpreted as a moan, by thelittlesthobo on Jun 23, 2013 5:52:45 GMT 1, And I only came here to look at pictures of the little girl holding that ballon. Our Tiffanys favourite that one is.... Who's this Dolk bloke by the way? He recently created an overly large mass-produced much-discussed image of a dog with a crown on its face/head (wtf indeed) and there are rumours that he could end up being responsible for the end of the world **shrugs with a face that says maybe**

A small gentle observation, that may be interpreted as a moan, by Deleted on Jun 23, 2013 6:26:07 GMT 1, "Austerity" is a word we are hearing more and more each day here in Australia, the Country didn't learn. Missed the GFC due to China buying all our resources. Now the Chinese spending is slowly coming to a stop and the clueless Government spent all their surplus just as US and Europe did before they went into recession. you see, you bought the line they fed you hook, line and sinker. One thing to remember, an economy does not work in the same manner in which a household budget does, no matter how much a micro explanation seemingly makes sense, the level of complexity of beneficial factors that do not translate into 'income' with an economy are inordinate.

I never buy into anything any government says as its usually all lies. Also there are good economists out there, but more bad. Just experience and my observations of what's going on around me on daily basis and what's happening generally in the business world. The World wide financial crisis is still happening and is far from over and has been manipulated over the past few years due to Countries just printing money for fun, country debt increasing, personal debt increasing, housing bubbles and overvalued stock markets. Seems like only now (due to China bailing Australia for years in the past) things are finally starting to unravel here in OZ the $$ is falling, stock markets are falling, jobs are being lost on daily basis, the mining boom is over, messed up government revenues. Only thing I will be happy with is if Australiaโs extremely overvalued property market drops 25% as its way over priced.

A small gentle observation, that may be interpreted as a moan, by thelittlesthobo on Jun 24, 2013 2:52:49 GMT 1, Quite simply we need to take a break from making babies. There is just not enough of everything to go round. The rat race nature of confinement and dwindling resources is creating a pressure pot. We all feel it. When the world comes to an end.........................I mean when there is not enough food to go round, or there is the war to end all wars, or we reach that 'Children of Men' moment', when we watch the people around us vanish and we pick through looted shops trying to survive because we dont know how to grow our own food or filter water, we will look back on our lives and consider that there were probably better things that we could have spent our time on instead of desperately trying to buy that bloody print of the dog with the crown on its face. Well that's cheered me up no end! Ha, yeah sorry about that - I'm currently watching The Walking Dead and Falling Skies, both great TV shows but a bit dark.

A small gentle observation, that may be interpreted as a moan, by Monky on Jun 24, 2013 11:10:40 GMT 1, Uniquely British in its politeness. I admire that ability. I think that what's happening is this forum is reflecting the undercurrent that exists in the wider world - that of the 'me, me, me' generation who consider themselves special and don't see why they should either have to wait or be denied what they want. Having said that, I've met and dealt with plenty of people on this forum who are the exact opposite. The f***wits are relatively easy to spot though. Yes. I've definitely felt like there's been a growing "I'm alright Jack" attitude in day to day life. Combined with the recession, I don't think it helps that the media tells people on a daily basis that politicians are fiddling expenses, companies aren't paying tax, police officers are being corrupted, lenient sentencing for serious crimes, footballers wages, adverts telling you that if you don't have this certain product, your life will be sh_t, immigrants are here to take your job, money, house, fiddle your kids, breed with your kids, blow up your kids, the average person now having to have 3 part-time jobs instead of 1 full-time job, because of the large number of jobless, employers can pick and choose now, oh and you must be flexible (why? so you can bend me over?). Adverts, adverts, adverts, newspapers telling us who we should hate this week, people seeing other people that have the talent of a walnut, making a fortune by being in front of a camera and looking pretty f_cking vacant, the media telling us how likely we are to be stabbed this week, blown up this week, sacked this week, yet hardly ever mentioning all the good things in the world, because hey, who's interested in that? You'd rather know about planes falling out of the sky than something cheerful. Anyway, that's what YT cat videos are for. People, by the by, just want to get on with their lives, but a lot of people are scared and angry. Scared of losing their jobs, homes, the print they wanted to buy this weekend, scared that someone is going to come and take something from them, and they're angry that they're seeing people, seemingly no better than themselves, getting away with corruption, fiddling, earning more than they think is fair, and they are frustrated that they see no alternative to the dreary-weary treadmill that they are already on. A lot of people take everything as an attack now. And a lot of people concentrate on getting the sh_t that they want, and keeping the sh_t that they have. Sometimes at the expense of others. imho <--- There are some spare paragraphs here, but I forgot to put them in.
Pilp I could not have put it better myself, well said!

Ok Skippy your saying............."Fair play Coach, sometimes the forum appears As Mad As A Cut Snake and Going Off Like a Frog in a Sock. Attitudes have certainly changed since I was a joey. Some remarks are as dry as a dead dingo's donger (which aint always a bad thing . London To A Brick, its difficult to change the new attitudes which in some cases seem As Hard As A bulls Forehead !! A small gentle observation, that may be interpreted as a moan, by Gentle Mental on Jun 25, 2013 8:34:35 GMT 1, it's not very exciting anymore... isit?
With banksy missing, micallef and dface over stretched and thinning, pow's releases weakening... and dolk (dolk! who've thunk dolk've risen so high!!) peaking, the forum is losing quite a few insightful voices... (where did they go? someone pm me a link, please!)
Aside from a very very tiny handful (i could only think of phelgm, TBH), the ice is very thin.
And the undercurrent of greed is strong.
And greed is transparent, boring and has no soul to speak of.
