And it has nothing to do with the actual 'picture' or the image itself.
It's clearly a mockery of the perception of graffiti. Here were buffed out graffiti deemed criminal that needs to be removes. And now here is praised graffiti called beautiful and must be preserved. All because its 'a banksy'.
Banksy must be rolling on the floor in laughter somewhere. This work has nothing to do with the image. the grandma, the pedestal, the headphones are nothing more then a 'okay' picture.
I've changed my mind. Well kind of. This work is genius.
And it has nothing to do with the actual 'picture' or the image itself.

First Banksy paints a woman staring at a buffed piece of art. We joke about it probably being tagged or covered with plexi pretty soon. And what a shame that would be....Then some of us joke about that it would be funny if it was being buffed.
The next day Banksy shows us a very very very good piece and even before someone could even check it out it was buffed. It was even already buffed when Banksy has put the pictures of the piece on his website..... Now people probably went to the 'scene of the crime' to stare at a buffed piece of art and tell each other what a waste it is... Awesome!
