One thing that was weird/interesting is that it looks like he signed "Blek" and "Le Rat" with 2 different pencils...anyone else have pix of their signatures on these pieces?

Yes, I do not want to say anything negative because I thought the price was fair and they arrived pretty quickly, but mine was not packed well at all. The cap was punched into the tube, and it was just the print free to slide around, in a plastic sleeve. My ballerina actually had a very small handling crimp at the back, which may or may not have been a result of shipping. It is not visible from the front, and makes no real difference, so I am fine with it. They certainly could have been packed better. But, again I am very thankful for the opportunity to support the artist and buy a small edition at a reasonable price!

That should be gallery 101, no real excuse for that. as an artist you have the responsibility to make sure a gallery knows how to pack prints from your show.

As a result I will be out of pocket having paid an excess for paying in dollars, and import duty, and return postage, not to mention the 40 mile round trip to the sorting office. Gutted is an understatement.
you can claim import duty back ;-) via customs , I've done it on the dolk Japan's release , bought three prints , 20% custom duty , sent back as badly packaged and got all duties back

I'd also ask them to pay the return shipping if they want them back. Most galleries/artists just ask you to tear them up and provide pictures for proof. A couple have just let me keep the damaged prints in the past and issued a refund.

I was not as lucky. My print arrived with one cap missing and (I am guessing) UPS just taped that end. The print itself had about a two-inch crimp. I decided to just let it... Sigh.

My Eine "Amazement" print was damaged on delivery and its agonizing to have to either give up a print you really want or put it on the wall with damage. At the end of the day if you're into it for the image and not an investment, what else can you do but frame it up and enjoy?
