Edit: I love it though. And it made me Wiki the heck out of Vermeer. Even though I'd already watched a Vermeer-related episode of that Fake or Fortune thing with Fiona Bruce and Bendor Grosvenor.

I think the bigger question, and one that we should all be asking ourselves, is did Banksy paint the piece in those colours in an attempt to replicate the appearance of Delft pottery? Which, as we all know, is where Johannes Vermeer was from.

Loved it.
Funnily enough, while waiting to board the plane to get out of that hellhole, a large rat fell out of the air conditioning duct next to us. It got up, looked around, dusted itself down and then walked off towards the café area.
Edit: I was just joking with the "hellhole" thing. Schiphol airport is genuinely one of my most favourite places on Earth.

It's still in the same condition as it was in after the second night. I presume that the first floor joists are sitting on the same section of wall that the piece is painted on, so I'd guess it would be pretty expensive and difficult to remove. Hopefully this one will remain in place for everyone to enjoy for years to come without some dickhead trying to remove it. Come on over and see it in person; I'll show you around town.

I went for a run this morning past the piece; don't say I'm not good to you, Json24 It's still in the same condition as it was in after the second night.
