These nuts are marching around with confederate flags for God’s sake. They are literally still clinging to a 200 year old war where their side fought for the right to treat other people as chattel, not even acknowledging them as being humans. It was 200 years ago.... and they still have that abhorrent mentality.

Could you imagine protesters in Germany with Nazi flags and mourning the loss of a war where eugenics and white supremacist propaganda was used to hunt down and brutally kill/torture/starve/abuse millions and millions of Jews, homosexuals, and disabled people? These people are basically doing the equivalent. That was less than 100 years ago, and the shame for how horrible it all was is still acknowledged.

I 100% agree that these far right confederate flag waving degenerates are insane and idiotic monsters. But they have been this way for a long time, and they have voted Republican for a long time.

Immigration, especially en masse, has tremendous consequences on the economy, local and national infrastructure, communities, public schools, etc etc.... not to mention the insidious side effects like those who profit from human trafficking, sex trafficking, and drug smuggling. This is an entirely different conversation that requires trying to fix a broken, failed immigration system and replacing it with one that works. Let’s not conflate the issues here.

Particularly in the art of protest, which spawned the birth of this forum (admittedly now not so much it’s raison d’etre).

Again, one has the option to ignore. Politics, and Religion, bring out the hate.
