Profit margins on this seem very low if not losing money. This is def a hit or miss until we get some real reviews of how this piece looks in person, behind glass ect

Anything else you should know not to touch. With that said I think this one will depend on how the lenticular actually looks like ink said.

Eelus 3D Lenticular "Not Everything Is So Black & White", by fishandchips on Mar 23, 2016 16:22:57 GMT 1, I think the lenticular will look good. Typically when AR have produced these in the past and I'm specifically thinking about Magnus Gjoen's - 'Roses are Dead' they have produced something of real quality. Especially when compared to some other efforts I've seen out there. I do wonder if the quality of the image is reduced the larger the scale is though so I would be really interested in seeing the big baddy versions in person

We have a life sized lenticular of a famous fashion chap here and i know it cost around 10 grand to make. Despite this guy looking like some kind of muppet thats had the worst plastic surgery ever, it actually looks really good and I was quite surprised when i first saw it

Ive been thinking this for the past day or so too ..... but im sure they will be nothing like that.
It would be interesting to see some actual pics of the new release, I presume the Art Republic page with it on is just computer generated as the colours seem very bright id think the actual release will be nearer the Original run colour contrast wise.
Ive just googled 'lenticular puzzle' and gone to images ... No No No it will be nothing like that (hopefully!)

Eelus 3D Lenticular "Not Everything Is So Black & White", by toshspice on Mar 23, 2016 18:29:26 GMT 1, Interested to know what artistic input Eelus (and other artists) had/have in this project - it's AR`s idea, did they just select all the most sought after images of recent years, then ask the artists permission to use the images in question offering to cover all cost`s and cross the artist`s hands with pieces of Gold as a thank you?
And your point?

Eelus 3D Lenticular "Not Everything Is So Black & White", by BKBOI on Mar 23, 2016 21:06:24 GMT 1, I wonder how much of an impact this release will be on the prices of the original run on the secondary market. I would say that people who bought high will, at the very least, be disappointed now that there will be an extra 100 copies out in the market. People who have been holding off and wanted one are rejoicing that they will get a chance to purchase one for less than 1k gbp. This is the very reason why art should be bought for the art itself and not treated like a commodity.

I can't imagine any owners of the original will be selling them anytime soon so I suspect it will be a long time before the market is tested.

Eelus 3D Lenticular "Not Everything Is So Black & White", by Deleted on Mar 24, 2016 17:13:05 GMT 1, Because as much as an artist purpose is about creation, with prints they are producing a product. Prints are limited edition because scarcity matters, for investment and for personal satisfaction in ownership. So going back on what you inherently agreed with the purchaser of your artwork by printing almost the same image in a new edition is a bit disingenuous. If you can't at least entertain that idea, then your one of the dumber members on the forum. Bollocks! Eelus didn't sign a contract with anyone who purchased the first print release. Seems the true fans would be overjoyed with the lenticular release! Seems from the above Instagram post, that Miss Bugs are about to release another edition of Mother. I own the original orange on paper. I'm not upset about it. I'm wanting the new Mother! Doesn't matter to me if the new edition makes my Mother less valuable on the secondary market. Because she isn't going anywhere! Obvioussly Eelus didn't sign a contract, or there would be recourse, but that doesn't change the fact that many fans will be upset by this release. You seem to be confusing your own lack of interest in what art is worth with what you expect from everyone else. Unfortunately thousands of years of art disagree with you that price doesn't matter. I think true fans would rather the artist continue being creative than pumping out more of the same. Although you have no interest in what your art is worth or sells for, clearly Eelus does have an interest in the dollars.

Expect ยฃ50-100 to ship to uk, then customs. High risk of damage, good luck! In 10 years it wont matter. But good alternative for poorer fans. Wasnt the 1st print pulled by lee? Or at least inhouse? Think it should have been a bit smaller though.
