The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Deleted on Jun 12, 2016 16:59:59 GMT 1, I think it's the new presenter of Top Gear. Jezza C, a star in a socialist car? Showing the world he has a sense of humour and garnering Labour voters by being on a show no one watches.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Daniel Silk on Jun 12, 2016 20:05:38 GMT 1, It's interesting to look at this and see when the undecided drops what one goes up? To me it looks like the undecided are gonna mostly go Leave.

With the referendum looming. What do people fear the most from staying in the EU and fear most from leaving the EU?
Staying in more bullshit from Merkel and the EU Junker and his pals in order to waste more money on fucking up europe.
Leaving, house prices rising, more illegal immigrants, companies moving to the continent.

I agree. The worst tactic I've seen so far is the leave campaign using the appalling Orlando tragedy for political gain yesterday. Though at least someone had the dignity to delete the message after it had been posted.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Daniel Silk on Jun 15, 2016 17:25:38 GMT 1, No matter what the result is, I just can't imagine how things are gonna work within Labour and Conservative. Labour seems to be campaign against what so many of it supporters want, and the conservatives are completely divided. No matter what the result, the word is that Cameron will be forced to step down within days, and if think the whole frontline of the party will need to change. Most in labour also seem to want corbyn to step down, so maybe both parties will have new leaders by the end of the month.

That's right too. I have surprisingly found myself almost loosing my temper with colleagues over this. In particular those expressing the "problem" of immigration, who, when questioned, have no actual experience of any such "problems". Or it becomes apparent that their issue is non EU migration. I'm starting to find the whole debate rather irritating. But still I let myself be drawn in!

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Deleted on Jun 15, 2016 17:46:09 GMT 1, Its good that the young people <25 are getting involved, good to see a bit of passion, and i would rather listen to what they have to say than old cynical farts like myself.
I do find though that there are a lot of closed minds, as i said before I have been told to vote in by daughter, so shall.......maybe :-)
All I know is I truly hate conservatives, Hate old New labour, and cant really get my head past that.
I trust none of them.
If we left i have basically said to the conservatives you now have a free mandate to fuck us all over.
Yet if we stay in, nothing changes.
We need an arty party to rule us

I'm starting to find the whole debate rather irritating. But still I let myself be drawn in! So what's the chances of the following actually coming to fruition.
The Brexit campaign wins.
David Cameron steps down and Boris wins a Conservative leadership battle to become PM. Boris then engages in dialogue with the EU/Brussels for greater controls for the UK (specifically immigration but not exclusively). He then presents to the electorate as PM a new deal whilst now advocating that the UK should remain within the EU and proposing a 2nd referendum.
or
The Brexit campaign wins.
There is a vote of no confidence in the government by the House of Commons resulting in a general election. Boris wins a Conservative leadership campaign, then runs a general electron campaign based on remaining within the EU after negotiating a new deal based on immigration control. Boris is elected PM and said successful election run on a vote to stay within the EU with the new deal brokered is deemed to take precedent over the EU referendum.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Daniel Silk on Jun 15, 2016 18:12:16 GMT 1, I can't see anyone in power trying to keep us in the EU if the vote is Leave. I think enough damage has been done already with the public not trusting the politicians, so going against the result would be a very bad idea Imagine you vote remain, and the result is remain! And then they still move take us out of the EU anyway?

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Daniel Silk on Jun 15, 2016 18:49:15 GMT 1, I think both Labour and Conservative parties are pretty much in meltdown, so I think after the vote many of the leading remain campaigners will be like toxic waste! I can see big changes in both parties after the vote, even if the result is remain. Otherwise both will loose big chunks of support to UKIP.

Bob the gob.
Said he will take in four migrant families a while ago. Has he taken any in yet?
Anyway ignore those two opportunists above.
This is better.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Deleted on Jun 15, 2016 20:49:04 GMT 1, I heard after the vote if it is to leave.
It takes six weeks to confirm and then two years to negotiate a deal to leave the EU.
A lot can happen in two years.
