The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Coach on Jul 2, 2016 17:26:29 GMT 1, There's video of it dude. Looks like he lost his temper a little. To be fair I think I'd have lost my rag too.
Just seen it. I think he was incredibly restrained. I do think it's a little over the top to suggest that he squared up to her. That's all I took exception to. His aide sought only to prevent him from engaging with her, in my opinion.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by iamzero on Jul 2, 2016 17:36:05 GMT 1, I wonder what shit storm would've been played out had that have been Farage having to be held back. Either way it looks like comrade Corbyn has a bit of a temper.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Daniel Silk on Jul 2, 2016 17:59:01 GMT 1, I think all these petitions are getting a bit embarrassing. I mean basically in all the situations you have people on different sides or different views trying to silence each other or trying to overturn decisions made in a democratic vote.

Or in this case hold an alleged unbiassed media organisation to account. One that we pay for.
Then theres one that pretty much shows support for JC, which may or may not be part responsible for him staying and the eagle woman getting scarred off (i hope).
But i fully agree with you about the one asking for a new referendum!

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by crank on Jul 2, 2016 19:23:54 GMT 1, I never knew that urban art had so many right wing supporters. It used to just naturally attract more free thinking and left of centre people than it seems to now.
I guess it's just all about the money now.
Shame really.

I think I know what you are alluding to. If you are talking about Corbyn, I read that he was "held back" by aides. No doubt angry. But is that squaring up to her? Squaring up suggests a threat of violence. Corby wasn't squaring up. He was going to respond. Unfortunately it looks like he has surrounded himself by a bunch of "Momentun" types who want the far left to take over the Labour party.

I did not support any camp in this Brexit referendum.

Sometimes you just gotta do it! People generally don't like looking in the mirror but sometimes they need to.
As I have said before, this country is lurching towards the right. People will try and defend racist and xenophobia propaganda as 'freedom of speech' but it still leaves a bad taste in many people's mouths. The Leave poster 'We are at breaking point' was perfectly legal but was just nasty right wing racism at it's ugliest. Sadly it hit the mark with many people on the Leave side and played on their sheer ignorance.
Even Boris wasn't stupid enough to actually believe any of this which is why he's done a runner. UKIP are now playing the tune which so many people now seem to dance to. Just look at the comments on the UKIP FB page and you'll soon see past the flash suits of Nigel Farage to see the kind of people who support them. The sad thing is that many of the people who decry UKIP as bigots have just played right into their hands and increased their power and influence.
The country has just taken a huge step backwards.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by iamzero on Jul 2, 2016 23:20:09 GMT 1, But wasn't the leader of the remain party also the leader of the right wing Tory government? I never saw brexit as left vs right anyway more of a matter of personal experiences and practical thinking. And adding the fact the Corbyn is a known sceptic of the EU the whole mess becomes even more blurred.

So flipping art for profit is mainly a right wing obsession? I'm sure there's a few socialist art fans on here than have made a tidy sum from their Banksy selling. This thread is becoming more and more judgemental. Very sad to see.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by misterx on Jul 3, 2016 1:12:22 GMT 1, Notes from Oz... Wow, there's a clear organised campaign by the Brit media to oust Corbyn, if ever there was...
So far I've come to learn from Britains no longer trusty ( and increasingly desperate and shrill)press that Jeremy is a mouth frothing anti Semite, has a crazy sexist violent temper, is a political flip flopper who couldn't be trusted with your bread and milk money, let alone running an economy. Christ, the man even has crap dress sense, I'm told...
โPerhaps the worst example of an anti-Corbyn attack, post-Brexit, was in the Mail on Sunday. A piece by Dan Hodges was illustrated by a Photoshopped image of a malevolent vampiric Corbyn in a coffin with the despicable headline, โLabour MUST kill vampire Jezza.โ That this should appear just ten days after Labour MP Jo Cox was brutally murdered is almost beyond belief.โ โ โKilling Corbynโ, Media Lens, 29 June 2016"
The craziest "knives are out for Corbyn" moment though seems to be the brexit fiasco.
He didn't instigate it, Cameron did, and yet since last week Friday, in some weird Orwellian touch,as truth and reality are inverted, all I have read in what barely passes as honest media is how it's Corbyns fault that brexit is happening... Not a peep about the fact that the Tory Party are wholeheartedly to blame, they instigated this mess due to their little internal spat...
So what is it the elites fear about this man ?His socialist views are supposedly passรฉ. He's scruffy and rides a bicycle and isn't keen on bombing people in far away climes.
Why the venom? Did he awaken something that's been dormant since I was a kid growing up in working class Bolton in the 70's perhaps?
Unless you're a 1%-er, I'd suggest you need Corbyn in your life.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Deleted on Jul 3, 2016 2:12:45 GMT 1, No one seems to be saying much about possible scenarios, or their repercussions, its like the blind leading the blind. Will Scotland leave. Will Scotland leave and then return. How will this affect the monarchy. Will balmoral become a hostel for the homeless . What will Ireland do, unite or divide. Will there be a second referendum. will there be a call for a general election. Will the labour party split. what will Gibraltar do. What about the Falklands. Why has the impact of IS not been openly discussed, if you want divisive extremism, there's an example. What will Wales do, possibly become more Nationalistic , more division. What about Port Talbot, and its subsidiary industries. What about future pensions. Who will press the red button. what will happen to industry, whats left of it. What about the cost of oil, and petrol - long term. Are we to see another rise in food prices. Will disabled people etc, who are entitled to benefit see it slashed. What do the demographics say about us. What will really happen to the NHS, if that button is pressed. What effect will our image have on the rest of the world, as a horribly xenophobic country. Will there be riots at some stage, and even eventually some sort of more extreme civil unrest. Has Farges behaviour even been legal. What's Murdoch been up to in all this. Will article 50 ever even be activated. What about wages, and human rights, long-term. I'm not politically minded, and neither left nor right. I'm not absurdly analytical, or super objective, just intuitive which is enough. The BBC hid Saville for years, and his cronies, and has long had a policy of not reporting protest. Art has always attracted sharks, its up to you if you feed them.
I said that I would no longer post on this thread, so I'm going now, to plonk my bum down on a mountain, 1,000 ft above sea level, watching the ship go down, with a big hole in the hull, as bits fall off.
Bon voyage.
Oh and P.S, If the mad old buggers still around, I may yet vote Corbyn. Strictly for strategic reasons you understand. Worse is better.

The UK's EU Referendum - 23rd June 2016., by Reader on Jul 3, 2016 18:11:31 GMT 1, Or maybe elistism. Snobbery. Establishment. People that look down on others. Bullies. Education or intellect doesn't make someone automatically right. I find it amazing that a lot of card carrying socialist that like to promote freedom of speech and equality love to look down on others in the name of intellect. Some of the most well educated people I've ever met happen to be some of the dumbest people too. But that's only the opinion of a working class lad with only one degree. I find it amazing, that any working class person in the UK, who have been systematically denigrated and demonised by the tories and neoliberal Blairites over the last 10 years, in a, lets be honest, ideological battle against support for workers, could possibly think, a harder version of what you've just lived through, will make things better.
Listen to this man and those that support him, he wants to help you ! He really does.
Or maybe elistism. Snobbery. Establishment. People that look down on others. Bullies. Education or intellect doesn't make someone automatically right.
