$10k USD for a double print - large -edition of 99 .. doesnt seem too big of a stretch. 5K per print eh?
The only other higher volume Retna print i can think of would maybe be the Provocateurs Print of 2014 -- edition of 200. Of course they were originally only - $300 - A laughable price in this market - but now routinely $2000 - $4000 ? .. this release - Edition of 99 - $5000 per -- maybe an anti flipper price but i still think these sell out in an instant.

This particular one is too rich for my blood, though I do really appreciate Retna's work. Call me old fashioned, but I struggle paying that much for a multiple. And yes, I know, that puts me out of the market for the likes of Banksy, Kaws and now I supposed Retna.
I'm curious how this growing class of expensive prints will be treated by the market in say 20 years time.
In any event, good luck to all those going for one of these. Buy what you love. Life is short and all that. These massive beasts should look the tits all framed up properly.

But there is absolutely no way I would pay that much given that his previous prints were originally around $600-$1200 (excluding Sangria). I mean c'mon at least have some hand finishing to make each one unique. Even How&Nosm have completely hand-done monoprints that are less than $4,000.

Seriously, find the pictures it looked very very good even in pictures and I am sure in person it made a big impact.

Philips auctions have sold a few Retna originals in past years, and I notice a similar looking (but even larger) original on Canvas sold for £32,000 mid last year.
So, I don't see how prints can be £5000 each? But I'm usually wrong!!

As much as retna is a total knob I actually like his calligraphy and his own alphabet always gave his work an edge over some of the other calligraphic style writers and the visual impact of some of his other prints is incredible but this at £10k ? It's offensive!
Of course this will sell-out, at that price point they cannot afford to leave any sitting on the shelf otherwise he'll be derided for such a ridiculous price in the first place.
The price, the imagery and the total lack of any direct artist involvement in these is arrogant & disrespectful to his fans and collectors and is a very crass (but completely fitting) move for the artist
I won't even wish him luck as this is no better than him posting on Instagram 'that some mo fuckin' dicks just paid 10k so I can go beat on mo bitches and pretend I'm gangsta'

I've wanted a Retna print for years, and I think these are stunning! The sheer size alone, (and that "diamond dust"), makes these winners IMO. An OG this size (as in both together), would run close to 80K.
Not a chance these were EVER going to be $750 LOL! The Eastern Realm prints that were released three years ago, were that...and they're tiny in comparsion. I looked and saw that a set of those sold for 8K USD years ago. So at 10K these are almost priced perfectly IMO.
Yes, I think every collector wishes that they were priced at about half of what they are, but realistically at that price, everyone would have flipped the crap out of them 
At this price point, it keeps it to collectors and galleries who don't mind sitting on them for years.
And look at KAWS...a few years ago you could of got one his prints for what? 3K? 5k? Now, they're being released at 15K and still selling out!? So even at 5K per print, I really don't think these are too bad!
p.s. Oh and on the colour scheme, I'm actually happy they went black and white! I'm not a fan of the Eastern Realm colour prints at all. Oh...and nobody has mentioned that "Sangria" was like 10K alone, years ago!
