I do agree that he is a great artist but I have stated before I dislike the guy as a person. I do believe that the fans comments below that post did contribute to my questioning of the post as a shot at KAWS.

Dudes talking shit about Kaws, JR, and Richard Prince? Are you f*cking kidding me? Out of those artists, Retna is the best traditional painter, hands down. But COME ON. Kaws is a legend, and has outdone Retna commercially in every way shape and form. Not to mention the dude is incredibly nice and always down to make time for his fans. Richard Prince on the other hand is way HARDER then Retna will ever be. The dude took other peoples photos, framed them up, and was like "f*ck you, pay me." And it was an incredibly brilliant body of work (for the most part)! As an art lover, that takes far more courage (aka BALLS) then the multitude of fist fights Retna has likely engaged in.
