Any artist daring to use what works for them one too many times is suddenly unoriginal - going to the bank - flogging the same old stuff - etc. So then an artist stops 'flogging the same old stuff' and its "wait wait come back" ha.

Banksy was not just art it was a special once in a lifetime moment when something changes forever. You can't recreate the Beatles of the 60's you cant see J Joplins first concert ever again for free ..and there will never be another Banksy in 2003.

it wasn't just the art drops - it was the time. you cant recreate both. and you do realize dont you that about every major Banksy print was release in a 24 month period from 2003-2004 << note i said print >> go look at expressobeans - filter by year and look through. you take out the period of 2003-2004 and what do you have. That moment was crazy - and honestly i missed in by a few years or so in terms of collecting the art- and even when i did start people told me it was $hit. but i felt the moment was important .. more so maybe than the art even.

As for buyers making money from his art.. aren't all dealers, buyers, auctioneers in it to make a buck?
