Theresa May seeks General Election, by Viking Surfer on Apr 18, 2017 13:30:49 GMT 1, www.bbc.com/news/live/uk-39628713
I'm surprised there were no leaks regarding her plans for a general election.
Well done for keeping it under wraps, but a smart move all round for TM I think.

Theresa May seeks General Election, by Happy Shopper on Apr 18, 2017 14:08:35 GMT 1, Lib Dems could do very well out of this. Only party wanting to pull us out of Brexit, so if you voted Remain they're your guys. Labour are fucked either way.

Pretty sure the Tories will win too, but if enough Remain supporters vote Lib Dem then I think I read they could easily create a coalition situation... which would mess things up a bit for May and the hard Brexit crew.

Theresa May seeks General Election, by Matt on Apr 18, 2017 17:34:29 GMT 1, a smart move all round for TM I think. [
How is this a a smart move ? I must be missing something...
TM already has all the leeway she needs to negotiate the Brexit exactly how she wants, even many MPs who were not in favour of Brexit stood silently behind the laughable "clear will of the people" bullshit speach, and offer no resistance to the "hard Brexit" idiocy
The only thing missing from the perfect Brexit party is the utter silence from thosewho campaigned so hard for Brexit...but that is another story.
So why would she jeopardise the position of power and risk it all ?
Unless she dosen't want to be blamed for messing up what is lining up to be an impossible situation to win in, and would happily be voted out or at least have the excuse of adverse powers hindering her strategy ?

Fair points. I just felt that regardless of what the majority feel on here, the majority out there will still vote for her and strengthen her position further. I think it's a bold move that will pay off for her.

Good suggestion Plain popcorn provides whole grains, fiber and antioxidants and Unlike other food items that become rotten or moldy, popcorn is a grain so it has a much longer shelf life. The key to storing your unpopped popcorn kernels is to keep them in a tightly sealed jar, and stored in a cool area (such as a pantry or cupboard)

Theresa May seeks General Election, by tartarus on May 6, 2017 12:50:58 GMT 1, Easy choice on the brexit side of things. Corbyn will negotiate Brexit, or May will force us into Brexile! Im totally lost as to why people dont get this. Surely their personalities alone direct you to that assumption.
No one wants to try and do a deal with someone who is just making demands. and if a deal is done that way, its always going to benefit one side or the other as someone will have to back down. Which will leave one side always feeling hard done by!
A calmly negotiated deal is most likely going to work for both party and be more likely to last!
And once you put all the public services, Tax issues, living standards etc etc into the mix, im just bemused as to how we are where we are, unless its down to constant washing over of tory mantra and rhetoric, or the unbearable media bias pushing people to want to be "on the winning team". i really cant see any reason to think the tory's have any interest in fixing anything!
Corbyn will bring Brexit (we already decided its happening!)
May will bring Brexile! Either by her hand (UK Tax Haven) or by the hand of Europe (delusional, living in another galaxy etc etc)
Media bias in this election is beyond anything ive ever seen. Its not even subtle, its just full on in your face! Not what id call a good sign for the future!
1993 criminal justice act will be bitting this country hard in the arse anytime soon if you ask me.

Theresa May seeks General Election, by nex on May 6, 2017 22:22:03 GMT 1, The UK is mired in this belief that somehow by being more isolationist, less welcoming and slowly and steadily making the poor and disadvantaged suffer for their predicament, the country will be great again.
the media, people's own petty insecurities, their selfishness and an idiotic belief strength trumps compassion have a lot to answer for.
oh and trump you're an evil c u n t trying to dismantle obamacare, you're voters should be ashamed
