Sorry, but I cant see how this guy would ever make it to the historybooks other than in nostalgia memories of our children that had his art in their rooms when they were young.  BEN EINE is already in the history books as being the artist that created the 1st piece of street art to hang in the White House !!!! ย Cameron brought a BEN EINE Canvas as a present to the White House for President Obama a few years back. ย ย
Everyone is aware of the Cameron - Obama story, that happened at Eine's hot moment which has passed, he will be but a footnote in the history books if anything at all.

Sorry, but I cant see how this guy would ever make it to the historybooks other than in nostalgia memories of our children that had his art in their rooms when they were young. Disagree. In this same "past few years" Faile's rise in gallery and museum shows is one to be admired. A few cheap prints or posters means nothing if one is talking about their career blowing up.

They were very reasonably priced given they are really originals and not prints. Personally some of her recent work hasn't appealed to me but Kamayura and the Queen images are stunning.

Her museum and show moves are better than most.

Certain galleries have been buying up private stock over the past 12 months as part of a deliberate strategy of pumping up his prices. They have achieved this - and now of course nobody in the private world wants to 'miss' out and are now paying vastly inflated prices. That's why there are suddenly 5x more invaders being sold on here than ever before. They're being dumped by owners who can't believe their luck. A kit being sold for circa 4K is evidence of that. friend sold one to gallery asking for his works on here a year or so ago :-(

I remember 2-3 years ago when he had his LA solo at Helford which was one of their worst selling shows to date. They literally had the entire show available til close. Here in the US there are just very few who know who he is and I think his UK history plays a huge part in his appeal. Let's be honest, if he had just come on the scene stenciling stylized letters anywhere he'd probably get the exact same result as the Helford show. How can any of these people know how long he's been in the game and seen his pieces throughout the years, not to mention his history printing for Banksy and from what I have heard, basically mentored B from the very beginning and had a hand in many of his projects. Just because you've worked with a great artist doesn't mean you automatically become one. Eine is a great craftsman but he's not an outstanding artist. By that I mean that his style is strong but his work is really lacking in inventiveness or depth.

Good point. Everyone will think your kid is a bit slow when he or she can only recite 25 letters of the alphabet.

Eine works really well on the streets but the Letter prints just offer nothing to me.. this is poor and no W so it fits? Meh!

I like his art where he draws a shop front and has big letters on the art or the Warhol print he released.
Eines letters are his thing and the similarity to some of Peter Blakes earlier art, could be that some people see him as a sort of 60's pop art Blake derivative plus the comparisom in prices of buying a print by one of todays Urban artists and the fact that one can buy a very good ltd edition print by some great artists from the 60's and 70's for often the same or less money at auctions etc.
Stik is like marmite and anyone who can get away with painting giant cocks on the side of buildings gets my vote.
