NEW YORK Framers • Who do you Recommend?, by darren433 on Aug 2, 2010 21:27:07 GMT 1, Sorry if this has been covered in previous threads, but I have several nice prints (Faile, Lister, Russell Young) that I am looking to get framed in New York City (Manahattan or Brooklyn), and need advice on where to get them framed.
I have used one place in the past, but find them a bit too expensive, and a bit too quick to try to mount expensive prints on foamcore or the like.
Looking for simple white wood frames, UV-resistant glass or plexi, and probably float mounting for some or all of the prints.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Framing seems to be more expensive in NY than the UK.
Worth a visit as they are very friendly - but as I said there are a lot of options in the city.

I finally pulled the trigger on a signed Banksy and am willing to spend $1-2k+ for all fixins for truly standout job with MG and archival materials. Not going to do anything elaborate on the frame. I've used John Esty on Greenwich in the past and seeing what other options out there. Prefer Manhattan.

They do everything in house and are incredible. They've been around since 1983 and have been featured in tons of national magazines

They have great deals on Groupon frequently ($59 for $200 framing) and have done a very nice job with a lot of my work, including my own art for exhibitions.
