If I had $10K to spend on Art, by Deleted on May 24, 2017 16:50:40 GMT 1, So who ends up with the bitcoins in the end. Who ends up with the dollars in the end? Or the Euros? Bitcoins are are exchanged for goods and services, or converted into traditional currencies. It's not hugely different from any market, including the art market. As more people want to buy, the price will increase. As more people want to sell, the price will decrease. Crypto currencies can be more volatile because the market is (currently) smaller and less mature. Perhaps more interesting that Bitcoin itself is the 'blockchain' that powers it, and its potential uses outside of crypto currency. No, I meant who ends up with the bitcoins in the end?
Plus what happens if one day someone pulls the plug on the internet?
No more internet.

I meant that it's no different from asking who ends up with all the dollars. It's a currency (almost) like any other.
If someone pulls the plug on the internet, we are all likely to be screwed unless you have gold under your mattress.

If I had $10K to spend on Art, by Deleted on May 24, 2017 22:19:56 GMT 1, What if the other day you came into $10K and wanted to reinvest in art? What would you buy? Hmmmmm? OK, what if you decided to blow $5K in Vegas and spend the other $5K on art? What would you do? This is a real dilemma. Thoughts? Happy Sunday. No, I am not still hung over.
I guess it would depend if one is looking for a fast profit and turn over or to make a profit over a long period of time.
You could do quite well with 10k if you were clever.

If I had $10K to spend on Art, by Sub Method on May 25, 2017 0:26:35 GMT 1, If you want to get the rudimentary understanding of what Bitcoin is and how it works. Go here.
bitcoin.org/en/
It's not a Ponzi scheme and the media seldom gets it right. The rule of thumb with all crypto currency is to get coins or tokens that have a purpose or meaning. They actually solve something. Bitcoin solves many fiat headaches and has put bank on their toes. In the US, the IRS has become very interested in what alt currencies are. The blockchain which is the key core of Bitcoin is now being adopted by big corporations to update how they do business. Honestly, there is so much innovation...it's hard to describe in one thread like this.
Anyway, the last time I mention something like on a forum, all but one member decided to take the plunge and get coins. He is now 25K richer. Go figure. Could it crash tomorrow. Yes. Can it 10K per coin as the Winkelvoss brothers have predicted ( they even started an ETF around this)....yes.

If I had $10K to spend on Art, by Sub Method on May 27, 2017 18:47:07 GMT 1, Prices have softened. You all were asking buy points from me. Last night we had an Ethereum dip to $123 then it shot back up to $156 this AM. If it dips anywhere below 130, my advice is to buy for a long run.
BTC has dropped $600 in 48 hours and is now trading around $2230. The resistance is $2050. If we break that floor and it continues to fall. I would buy at $1900 if it happens.
Then again this is free advice--- and what is the problem with free advice? - it's free. Do your research before buying.

If I had $10K to spend on Art, by Sub Method on May 29, 2017 19:08:19 GMT 1, @rosac - The Chinese are already in it but face issues with their banks. Japan though and Korea are now deeply into crypto. So if we see another another bull run, IMO, it'll be from the latter two.
If you guys want to follow the industry averages, go here:
coincap.io
And yes, they have an app. It is an average though.
This got me thinking....wouldn't it be great if we had a blockchain for product bill of sales? Say for instance you buy a Banksy or whatever. That price is recorded into the blockchain and thus prevents price manipulation. Of course, you would have to use altcoins to prove sale.

Set up web pages and pay a few bucks for an email marketing or other campaign.

hmmmm... You don't need to buy the report, my post was more a tip of the hat towards Cliff High, his webbots, his predictions and the videos he posts on YouTube. Very informative, not a penny needs to be spent if you don't want to... if you don't want to parasite, he has a patreon page too.
