Faile still haven't reached their peak, they are a solid name in the scene that's gonna continue to grow steady over the next 10+ years for sure.

After seeing their latest show in Detroit, I'd say, not one bit. 

Is their work still desirable?
Yes, but think they could release better prints. Seems often when the original gets adjusted for print (see their last release), they make decisions that diminish the beauty of the original. Hopefully some of their works on paper from their Detroit show will make it to print form. Would love the girl on the bike hitting a pothole or the woman on the horse. 

Loyal until they can't even break even when re-selling. That seems to be the case as of late. NO ONE sane will spend $500 on something from an artist which they cannot at least get their money back. No one's making money collecting faile anymore. Past sales with auctions and ebay prove that.

The problem I have with Faile is that they are so prolific and they produce pieces all across the spectrum of the market from their 150 series to high priced originals. Point being, they will never be over it's just where the value is in whatever pieces one might collect. Yes, the market has plenty of their lower cost pieces available but the really good stuff ie: prints specially from before 2010 are pretty hard to find and will come at a premium. Additionally there is a difference between books and prints. I have some nice Failes hanging on my walls but I don't necessarily want any Faile books in my collection, not to say that books aren't cool they're just at a different place on the spectrum. Faile will never die.

Their new work is awesome, and I love picking up older choice pieces at great prices.

I have a FAILE - THE SAVAGE WORLD book cover for sale with that same image on it if you are interested... Already framed and not 7K. 

That book is amazing.  A very good work.  But, 'special edition' books are tough sells almost regardless of artist or market.  I learned the hard way with several that I thought were special and I appear to be the only one that thinks that way.

They are not 'book' enough to appeal to pure readers/researchers and will not be purchased by museums and libraries(I sell a decent amount of art books to both), and they are not 'art' enough for many collectors of objects, let alone art collectors.

Many also run in to display issues.

I wish you luck on the sale.  it is a great book, and though the market is very narrow for something of that ilk, I'm sure you'll find someone who appreciates it.

Every edition sells out super fast, even the expensive ones.
They release a fair amount though, which kills their secondary market a little, but the best images will always be more in demand.
