Yep it's a classy joint alright. If you're lucky you'll get to meet the teenage hoodies that hang around outside the McDonalds on Western Road during the evening too !

A great call for the carnivore in brighton! A dying breed...Beers...hmmm... Great real ale houses everywhere...! Best burger in town ...turn right out of the station up the hill and have a burger in the yeoman.... You won't need to eat till Wednesday! Enjoy it all...

Saw the eelus show which was nice. Was not sure about the subject matter mind. Popped by Prescription Art which has a great space. Already planning to head back early next year.

I know you could do these last two things anywhere but it's such sh***y weather here right now they could be your back up plans.
If the weather improves tomorrow (yeah right) then the beach or a walk on The Downs would be nice. Maybe a visit to Brighton Pier too.
As for galleries I'd say that Ink'd and Art Republic are the two places worth seeing here - they're both in a great central location in The Laines so near lots of other shops if the kids get bored!!

Thanks Eat candyfloss, go on the dodgems, play crazy golf, hire a deckchair and sunbathe....even if it's raining, waste all your money on the slot machines, play bingo, slide down the helterskelter backwards, throw chips at seagulls, float on a lilo, build a sandcastle, wear sunglasses.....even if its raining, buy Brighton rock for all your friends & family and have a thoroughly good time. The galleries are good too! |

North alines is a must, the pavilion is great on a bad day
buy chocolate at choccywoccydooda in town
go to the spiegel tent on the level, (park near the pier) for drinks

Art Republic's nice to have a look around. They're very chatty in there. Great little shop called Adobe nearby, plenty of other cool little independent Bric-a-brac, second-hand antique shops. We ate in GBK (Gourmet Burger Kitchen). Bloody lovely!

Not sure how old your nippers are but last time out I went to 64 degrees, it was lovely (though expensive).

If you do go there then don't judge the rest of Brighton on the London Road area! It's not exactly a bad area as such, it just looks a bit tired and run down.
