If that's the case, all this unseemliness could have avoided by the online shop stating "coming soon in store" rather than than it currently stating "available in store". It's a pretty major difference and one that they would know will lead to lots of people heading over to try and buy something.
Let's not forget that if one of those crucifixes goes the way of a watchtower sculpture someone has bought an item very cheaply that could be worth more than a year's average wage. That's not greed trying to buy it, it's just common sense. If Banksy, a multi millionaire artist chooses to sell his notoriously rare work in an unusual place people will still go. Particularly as we've relentlessly been told how safe and welcoming Palestine is. That said there's no excuse for rudeness and bad behaviour particularly when in a foreign country.

As there is 8 rooms they could have released an edition of 500 and that would have covered just over 2 months of bookings. There is plenty of availability for rooms and at the end of the day the hotel will only survive if they fill the bookings up.
Or he could of signed them all and sold them to the locals so they could then flip them to better their lives?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone really consider the wall sections an "original Banksy sculpture"? It says they're painted by local artists, so I'm not sure I'd consider an original Banksy. The crucifix/grappling hook could probably be considered as such, but I think that's probably it.

It's just tiring to see people get worked up over believing that they're not receiving all the information they feel they're entitled to.
Or arguing about whether the things are original sculptures or not. It's only relevant when you're listing your beloved momento on ebay or describing it to your auction house contact. Either way, people will pay what they feel they're worth, right?
