I wouldn't pass judgement too quickly, the Red of the stamp is a common colour for digital cameras to get wrong, or to be 'corrected' within the camera, lighting, exposure etc will also have an effect.

finsburyparkranger has one, signed, maybe he could shed some light, it would be very unusual to have an out and out fake. maybe a backdoor with a number pencilled in

It looks fine to these jaded eyes.. I often mess with the contrast before posting on the bay to make the images pop.. maybe it's been tweaked slightly.. but size, shape and colour look ok.. still, if in doubt it'll come down to provevance right.

i found some stamps did just come out better than others.
all depends on the pressure applied and the amount of ink on the stamp.
The quality will drop off the more copies you stamp without reinking the stamp.
some looked perfect and others would look faded out.
and having seen those pictures that looks like a completely different stamp,
the letter spacing is different.

I checked around the forum and didn't see a similar one either. Probably being over cautions, but for that kind of money I want one with solid provenance and one that looks like the others I have seen photos of!
