I cant afford however but have a plan which is to get lucky and get hold of a few of the new prints which ideally would give me a fair slug of the cost of the prints I want. (thinking Grannies currently about ยฃ600-ยฃ700 - guess more down the track probably)
This means joining the scalpers on ebay which makes me feel guilty!!
when I first saw the Grannies I didnt think much of it but it and figured I would offload them but it arrived today and I had a quick look and I actually like it. It has come out really well.
So dont know, I want them all! mmm
Whats your thourghts?
Anyone want to buy a Grannie. Or just swap for a golf sale or bar code

My first print was a gangsta rat when it was selling for about ยฃ150 (POW cost) on ebay. I bought a J&J half as an investment and half because I had saw the original canvas and though it was cool. When I received my J&J print my whole opinion of it chaged. It looked so good in the flesh and made me wonder that even the prints that I don't like probably will look twice as good in the flesh and made me wonder how I could get my hands on more. No chance now with the prices as they are.

I think that most people on both forums are extremely hypocritical. There is no question that the majority of our members have either sold or purchased at least one Banksy print on Ebay.
I'm of the school of thought that as long as you are not strictly buying to scalp then you are OK. There is nothing wrong with selling, purchasing with the intent to sell, as long as you are using it to purchase other art/artists, upgrading to other prints, or offsetting costs such as framing, travelling, or any unexpected expenditures in your life.

Yes, a lot of people buying to sell no doubt - I mentioned this when chatting with POW people and and glad they made only one print per person.
But do you think the demand for the prints will continue? he releasing a number of prints in a short amount of time - do you think scalpers holding a lot of his work will get caught out (like lads selling tickets below cost as show/football starts)
Or does art not work like that?
Like I said I dont know but would have guessed that signed prints and origionals will alwasy go up but unsigned may not hold value?

I just managed to buy a "Love is in the Air" (one of my all time favs!) and now I have set my sights on the "BombHugger" and "Laugh Now"... I would hate to sell ANY of my prints but if the time came and someone wanted to swap what I have for one that I wanted, then that would be fine!
But as Silky says... Buy it coz you LOVE IT!

Can't say fairer than that. The pic above was just taken from google, the print its self is currently at my uncles. My place has been robbed once and i can't trust the local crack heads to not spot a banksy, sadly. I'll get a pic of sig, tag, number, reciept and flyer as soon as I can.

Good selection of books on the shelves as well though eh Cracka. Re: Sundays game, I think the FA should remove Carra's points from the Yellow card he was given for complaining against the penalty (then I can have one back in the Fantasy League)
