I have just had a great experience with Brett Amory commissioning a number of small pieces and have been blown away by how easy and enjoyable it has been. He’s still available for more commissions at the moment too as is taking a break from gallery work.
Also had a great experience with Mr Jago before.

Twoone likewise was very easy to work with
Meggs, Slow but kept me up to date with delays (generally that he was so busy travelling the world doing murals) my fault for telling him I was in no rush at all!
Two artists have been a problem but as works are still owed I won't divulge their respective identities
Herakut were a dream to work with recently, so so easy to deal with no issues

Straight through Mr Jago, a breeze. That was quite a few years ago though

Kelly is ridiculously talented and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She managed to capture both the likeness, and his character, from a handful of photographs and we were thrilled with the outcome.

Mostly cool all in all.
Nothing local alas , which adds to the nerves ...
Found Sam Friedman totally cool and Finok an easy guy to get along with.
Still waiting for one work though... 2 years later.... I'm patient.

Reached out at the perfect time before he got busy with shows in the second half of the year. Looks like his pieces are getting scooped up quickly now, so I'm fortunate to have worked directly with him.
Michael's the nicest, most accommodating guy. He's very open & honest and receptive to direction. Personally, I offered some initial thought-starters on what I like in his pieces and let him have fun with it. Loved the result

They shared some of my favorite Pose pieces with Jordan, and he went off of that. No complaints, and cheaper than buying in a gallery - at least back then.

Sometimes the work is mind blowing and some times it's not quite there. Best advice with commissions is know exactly what you want and what the artist is doing at the moment. Recreating the past never really works.
