i honestly thought my colleagues were fucking with me when they said that Westlake school comfortably got 8k for a regular game, and 14k or 15k for for a big one. Then I saw where they play.... the money the sink into it is bonkers.

At a certain point we have to recognize our privilege and do something about it. The NFL has gone out of its way to punish Kaepernick, distort the narrative and effectively publicly showing support for racism.
Non racist people should not put up with that.
