I think the fact that witnesses reported this and that he pleaded guilty gives you enough to prove he did do it!!

I come from any experience of being heavily laid into from an extremely unstable ex girlfriend once upon a time. Luckily I was experienced enough to dodge pretty much everything thrown... with witnesses to see the whole debacle. She then went on to claim I’d hit her to everyone that hadn’t seen the pathetic situation.
And while I’m able to wind you lot up, isn’t the whole court and prison system built on reform and not punishment with people given second chances? Sounds to me like you lot would have the man put down?

Never mind the witnesses reports, Ben’s personal admission of guilt, the fact that assault charges brought against Ben and NOT against his girlfriend, the fact that he hit her from behind. Never mind all that. You are right. I wasn’t actually there to see it myself so it must not have really happened... she was probably asking for it, right? If we weren’t actually there to witness an assault in person we shouldn’t shine a spotlight or pass judgement about these things? 1-4 woman and 1-7 men will be victims of severe violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime. It’s is an epidemic. Domestic violence is not a singular incident, it’s an insidious problem deeply rooted in our culture unfortunately. Public acceptance, “these things happen” “ it’s a personal matter” these positions are part of the problem.
