If someone could obtain some re-entry tokens for me that would be perfect. It's the only thing standing in my way!

Glastonbury Festival, by nacional on Jun 16, 2011 14:09:35 GMT 1, I used to go every year with 50 quid in my pocket and climb over the fence. Stopped going when it got too corporate and the fence got too high. The bands where always the least interesting part of the Glasto experience for me...much prefered the Elephant Fayre anyway.....in Cornwall I think?

Glastonbury Festival, by sohohoho on Jun 16, 2011 14:57:48 GMT 1, lol you could try a rope ladder - gonna hurt when you slide down 4 metres over the tilting top tho! re-entry tokens don't work any more - you need the wristband, ticket with ur face on AND the re-entry 'pass out' token to get 'back' in. last chance saloon is to find someone who's got a hospitality ticket f/s as they don't have the id requirements - face value this year ยฃ340+vat so can't imagine any are gonna go for less than double that at this stage...
you only have to show your ticket on the way out to obtain a re-entry token. all i need is a couple of spare re-entry tokens then i can use a friends wristband and have another friend bring it back out to him. works a treat!

100% not true. The tickets have 2 portions. 1 is removed on initial entry and the other part with your photo/name on.
If you need to leave the festival you are handed a 'replacement' second portion. This is separate from the ticket and is clearly marked as a REentry, NOT first entry (and therefore wristband issue) portion.
When you re-enter, you enter via a separate channel to 'first timers', hand in the re-entry portion - along with showing your wristband and ticket where your face is checked again against your photo.
So in a nutshell, even if you did manage to get hold of re-entry portions (which is nigh on impossible - these are locked down till weds morning and no single oxfam steward is ever left with these on their own - always a supervisor and always in pairs), you still couldn't get a wristband from the 'first timer' queue, as you would only have re-entry . And they wouldn't let you through re-entry as you wouldn't have a wristband.
If you did 'get a friends wristband' - and these are the fabric ones which rip on removal (but still doable) and their re-entry, and their ticket (and you look like them) - then they would be stuck outside the festival instead of you, so you might as well just buy the ticket off them in the first place and try your luck with the ID!
PHEW!

Glastonbury Festival, by sohohoho on Jun 16, 2011 16:55:49 GMT 1, Listen mate, I appreciate you chiming in but like I said, I've done it before so know the drill. Two friends inside with real tickets/wristbands, one friend outside without. Both friends exit and bribe an extra re-entry portion after having their full tickets checked. One friend removes wristband and gives it to the friend without, along with the spare re-entry portion. New friend combination enter then original friend exits again to give wristband back to other original friend. Both original friends re-enter then all friends get on it. I know it wouldn't work if they check full tickets on re-entry but they don't, it's too busy. They collect the re-entry portions like 52 card pick-up and usher everyone in.

Glastonbury Festival, by gibbin82 on Jun 16, 2011 16:58:21 GMT 1, I think you would have to be either a bit crazy or extremely desperate to travel to Glastonbury on the hope of sneaking in, plenty of people dream up plans to try and get in and almost all of them fail. The festival organizers have encountered lots of these half baked and the very few successful plans over the years and introduced measures to defeat them, you are trying to fool a very experienced and professional organization that have managed to be very successful in the running of the festival, eg. the only festival (or other live music event for that matter) that has completely eliminated ticket touting.
If you have the money and are desperate to go I suggest you look at the links below as all of these can sell you a ticket as part of a package, otherwise expect a wasted journey and being made to look a right idiot when you get caught .

Completely eliminated ticket touting? haha. Please keep all negativity and naivety out of my thread. Anyone selling a ticket, regular/local resident/guardian competition winner, PM me. Thanks. I am not really sure if you are being serious here, first you are asking for advice how you can get in to the festival without a ticket, then you are saying you have a completely fool proof method of getting in so you wonโt need a ticket and any advice is not necessary and then you are asking is somebody has got any tickets to get in. Make your mind up, are you asking for advice or not? or stop now as you are in danger of looking as silly as you will should you try your fool proof method of getting in and I don't think people offering advice after your request for it based on their experience and suggesting ways of buying a legitimate ticket through the links I gave (although expensive) is negativity and naivety

Glastonbury Festival, by sohohoho on Jun 16, 2011 17:33:18 GMT 1, Is it really that hard to understand? Basically, I'm good for the money so my first preference would be to buy a ticket for a hassle free experience. Failing that, I'm looking for other ways to get in without a ticket apart from my own way which requires a spare re-entry token. I'm not interested in crazy ticket/accommodation packages. This is meant to be a street art forum for fuck sake, and I've got people laying down the law. Embarrassing really.

The last time I went ( 1986 ) a mate worked on one of the food stalls and I got back in change the same amount I'd paid for the meal. I expect those days are long gone.
As for seeing things, I'd go off the beaten track; although I think The Rolling Stones will be worth seeing.
