I think my goldfish did and yeah, before anyone tells me about the rules again, he doesn't live in my house. He's in a pond in the garden... with his own Internet connection.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Grillocracy on Oct 19, 2019 0:44:12 GMT 1, I think if you were Banksy, the easiest way to explain away your studio, wealth and constantly paint-covered hands to your kids, would be to pretend you were another artist. Periodically knocking out a landscape or pet portrait. Then the kids go to school and tell their friends that daddy paints hills and Labradors and nobody cares. Are you Banksy or did you have the PDF? shop.grossdomesticproduct.com/products/banksy%E2%84%A2-pet-portraits Nice find! I need more pet portraits in my life. Any other forthcoming hidden gems you've discovered?

Yes this appears to happen on some items, notably the stab vest

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by nottheway on Oct 19, 2019 7:16:33 GMT 1, I don't know why no one complains about the time frame... Am I selfish? i'm hardcore and gonna strike for life, but not selfish at all. I always help people who fucked up in a mosh pit..whatever.
My friend sent me a Japanese newspaper that is about this lottery. it says "you can be an owner of over £100k of an art piece by £10." then the article explains who banksy is, what he's doing his online shop and with the link, says enter now for free.
I got speechless for a few minutes. the article sounds exactly like "GETTING RICH IS A CLICK AWAY!"
Banksy wants to sell his work for "Genuine art collectors" right?
How's that possible?
only 50 words (like Twitter) can't even express how much you want to win this.
shame that it's still running and taking orders from someone who doesn't know about his work, someone who doesn't give a shit about an art.
Over 200k orders and he has got only 400-500 items? (it could be 1,000 items? who knows) but it doesn't matter... i bet only 1 or 2 people on this forum get a T-shirt. if lucky enough.
"Genuine art collectors" will submit their orders quick even if Banksy sets one hour time frame.
I left completely satisfied and disappointed at the same time.

I didn't even think he was "Big in Japan". But its expected thats going to happen because of his status now, no doubt the recent sale of DP was global news. But yes, it is pretty gutting and the draw hasn't even started yet (or has it? Who knows!)
I feel my answer to the question was in tune with what he is trying to achieve, balanced with a little bit of humour. Ill post my answer once its all done. But the timing part of it is a bit of a bummer.
The bigger tickets items I really dont beleive will go to just anybody, yes on the page it has certain rules and a procedure but I think people WILL be vetted before being offered anything. They will cross check records, and have a read of the answer as well.
For the time being, sit back, relax and enjoy the rollercoaster ride of emotions we're all experiencing.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by GMA on Oct 19, 2019 7:38:19 GMT 1, Currently sat in the Imax awaiting 10,000 Peacock Feathers in Foaming Acid. Should be interesting. A night away, although still checking this place out;) Enjoy your weekend guys n gals. I am at the Ty Segall show in Haarlem, Holland. Have fun all you guys and girls!
I hope your evening was better than ours, it was shockingly shit. Now Im all for a bit of obscure music and looking at macro photography mixed with a live performance but I had to walk out. It really was that bad. I hope none of you ever have to experience it. I was sat there thinking "Wtf is this, nothing is happening". Very strange.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by tonyskittles on Oct 19, 2019 7:46:38 GMT 1, I'll say first that a lot of this thread is very entertaining, but it boggles my mind that people think this is a place to come for authoritative answers on how the sale works. None us knows anything for sure. One person's guess is as good as anyone else's. Loads of the rules are open to interpretation and GDP can enforce them however it wants. Nobody is owed anything. A shot at owning a Banksy isn't a right. Will they give people who messed it up the benefit of the doubt and let them try again? Maybe Do the answers to the art question actually matter except in very rare circumstances? Maybe Does buying the mat discount you from applying for anything else? Maybe Is the "unlimited" stuff actually unlimited? Maybe Does the whole thing reset for the next release round? Maybe We. Don't. Know. Anything. Just give it a try and see what happens. Odds are tiny anyway. There's no real way to game the system with your timing or choice of item. It's a very remote chance of owning a Banksy you'd otherwise only see in a gallery or museum. But it's a chance.
Amen!!

I’d politely suggest there are some who certainly understand more than others . Through knowledge, experience and common sense. Just as with most understandings in life it certainly isnt equal from person to person (in fact that’s a huge issue with the whole brexit debate).
Ability to win is another matter though

My friend sent me a Japanese newspaper that is about this lottery. it says "you can be an owner of over £100k of an art piece by £10." then the article explains who banksy is, what he's doing his online shop and with the link, says enter now for free. I got speechless for a few minutes. the article sounds exactly like "GETTING RICH IS A CLICK AWAY!" Banksy wants to sell his work for " Genuine art collectors" right? How's that possible? only 50 words (like Twitter) can't even express how much you want to win this. shame that it's still running and taking orders from someone who doesn't know about his work, someone who doesn't give as**t about an art. In answer to your question about whether you're selfish for thinking you're entitled to a shot at owning a Banksy but that other people shouldn't be entitled to the same shot because you don't think they pass the "genuine art collector" test: yes, you are.
Most people aren't going to bother with this. Hardly anyone I know is even aware of it. It's not a big news story. I've mentioned it to a few friends and family who really like Banksy and would love to own his work but don't follow the art world obsessively. They're excited about entering and have mostly gone for lower cost pieces. Good luck to them. It's a lottery. The fun is in taking part. And prices start at £10 for the very specific reason that Banksy, as stated on the site, wants his work to be available to all. All. Not a few who have appointed themselves the 'real fans' and many of whom, if they won, would just stick their art away in a cupboard instead of putting it on the wall.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by Deleted on Oct 19, 2019 8:08:10 GMT 1, I'll say first that a lot of this thread is very entertaining, but it boggles my mind that people think this is a place to come for authoritative answers on how the sale works. I’d politely suggest there are some who certainly understand more than others . Through knowledge, experience and common sense. Just as with most understandings in life it certainly isnt equal from person to person (in fact that’s a huge issue with the whole brexit debate). Ability to win is another matter though Someone might understand the T&Cs better than someone else on a basic level, sure, e.g. an English speaker will understand better than someone who doesn't speak much English. My point was that we don't know answers about precise mechanics of how winners will be decided. Nobody can say definitively what will happen.

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by nex on Oct 19, 2019 8:15:32 GMT 1, The question of who is a ‘genuine art collector’ is both interesting and ridiculous , he’s clearly joking somewhat, what he’s really doing is redistributing wealth something we should certainly respect him for.....

BANKSY Gross Domestic Product™, by GMA on Oct 19, 2019 8:20:00 GMT 1, I didn't even think he was "Big in Japan". But its expected thats going to happen because of his status now, no doubt the recent sale of DP was global news. But yes, it is pretty gutting and the draw hasn't even started yet (or has it? Who knows!) I feel my answer to the question was in tune with what he is trying to achieve, balanced with a little bit of humour. Heck yes they'll be vetting people for the more scarce items, and I'd even wager that with the level of resource and the amounts of money involved they'll be investigating the shortlisted potential winners before awarding a chance to buy - that's why for the next month or so my job title on Linkedin's changing to either Human Rights Lawyer / Humanitarian Aid Worker or something!
Lol love that
