I know there was an issue with the resin or something with the fish "bowls".
I saw the Escif collab at Art Miami in December, along with some other rarely seen bits from Dismaland and other shows. Here are a few pics.

For many it was standout in a show of many strong pieces. It wasn't for it's looks. The concept is bang on. I think if you get it and agree with the message, displaying it on a wall, or in table etc. is a natural extension. It becomes a daily reminder and an important talking piece.
I guess I'm a bit abnormal thinking that art or even conceptual art should look good if taking the trouble to display it in a home. Concepts are easy to think of, but to make them look good should at least be worth the trouble for an artist to try and accomplish.
In coming up with with the idea, I really wonder if perhaps Banksy tried to think of the most ordinary type of household object that wouldn't be appealing to display, as a joke in the Morons vein, and is having a nice laugh looking through these Banksy threads. In my mind, he would have disdain for his biggest fans.

I think it is more along the lines of Banksy taking an object that people ordinarily wipe their feet on and elevating it to something that can be valued. Surely it's a visual metaphor. |

That definitely has to do with the non ion that there could be a new batch and possibility to buy one for 500ยฃ. When that scenario now has ended, naturally the prices are settling at a price level that makes more sense. I donโt see them going much higher than this for now. I love mine, one of my favorite pieces.
