The interesting thing is how you always parasite and post meaningless critiques on this forum while never contributing nothing original here or on the art world. The fact that you collect street art is a contradiction in itself, because you are probably everything street art is against at its core - but hey at least you re good at your trade flipping and profiting to the max

Nobody said anything about believing every photo or video that is on the internet. We are talking about this specific situation. You must be a boomer. I don't think there is anyone more pathetic or negative than you in this whole forum.

Because they can't use it and don't know who to sell it to. Also, you think those from the hood know Banksy's art.. come on man half his stuff is from over 20 years ago... and the hype beast crowd probably only recognized Kaws.
Also, it's easier to run out with a toy in hand or under jacket then a framed piece of art. So I've heard.

5/30/20 Los Angeles, California, by sfnyc on Jun 2, 2020 22:03:12 GMT 1, The fact that many of you associate the looters and vandals as the core of these nationwide protests is the wrong way to see or understand the issues at stake here. These images are only giving excuses for authorities and public opinion to violently repress the overwhelming majority of peaceful protesters. Here in SF / Oakland the mornings after riots this weekend I saw these "Antifa thugs" clean up the glass on streets and fixing vandalized windows and walls. But I guess that's not media worthy for the narrative you are being fed?
And I m not even going to get started on the videos appearing now of police placing pallets of bricks at protest sites on purpose to instigate violence and push their media narrative...

The core of these movements start of peaceful but they always get taken over by hardcore criminals for their own personal gain and own agendas There are groups of protesters stopping looting but the sensational news is the rioting which always makes the news channels which has now spread out of control
www.liveleak.com/browse?q=Looters&a=list&submit=Submit
The art galleries that have been hit , will have insurance cover , most of the art stolen most likely would not have sold for the insurance claim
A bad year for America , just hope no freak weather systems to come to top off a terrible year!

I noticed an artist on Instagram with 70k followers using laughing emoji at the looting video - he justified it by saying it was ok as insurances cover the gallery and that the artists will be happy as at least they are getting paid at a time when art wasn’t selling. Can’t but help think how ridiculous a commentary it was when considering the gallery owners, their employees and anyone associated with the business - it must be one of the devastating things to see your business ransacked and destroyed. Everyone knows insurers never truly cover the entire loss someway or another. These people are steeling from their own community. Same thing happened with Haroshi.
...and celebrities are paying the legal fees for the looters? Is this the right? Is this a millennial thing..or am I losing my marbles?
