Why are not the regular white reporters covering these events ? society creates division unknowingly . I know CNN in London had a white, middle aged reporter on the street... and they had stuff thrown at them while trying to talk live on air... but this was late in the evening, when things were kicking off! The BBC have used Chi Chi Izundu, and as far as I'm aware she's not had the same problem... but seems to have been kept far from any violence, and just covered the daytime, US embassy protests. As far as I know they don't have "white, regular reporters" though. They're always mongrels (if that's a term I can use?  )

Or a statue of Paul Stephenson who led the Bristol Bus Boycott in 1963 and did a sit-in at a pub that wouldn't serve black people in 1964. Led to the creation of the Race Relations Act.

What exactly happened to DJ Derrick ?
He vanished for ages after a fight in a pub then was found in strange circumstances months later ?

edit: TBF* though, Banksy is undeniably Bristol's most beloved artist, plus his heart and empathy's in the right place, plus he seems to have a good team of people around him that stop him from doing anything too mental, so if anyone's work could go on there, Banksy's is as good as it comes.
*TBF means "to be fair". I sometimes use it so I don't have to type out a whole bunch of words. Lazy, I know.

And I know when you criticise Churchill, people understandably bring up the war, and say stuff like, well you'd be speaking German now if it wasn't for him. And, ja, I get that, but you could also make the argument that many others, if they'd been in power at the time, would've done their utmost to not let Britain or Europe fall to Nazi occupation. Things are complicated and, I think in the eyes of the majority, Churchill gets a pass because while he might've been a bit of a b*stard, he's considered to be *our* b*stard. And looks a bit like a Bulldog, and people love dogs.
