this might be an unpopular opinion, but tbh if an item is onsale for a full half hour or so, ppl shouldn't be as miffed at people reselling. these resellers didn't really prevent anyone from getting an item. if anything, these people are helping those who completely dropped the ball and forgot this release was even happening.


any single person who was online at release time was able to purchase, easily. in any size. hell, even if you were tied up, you could've whipped out your phone and bought a shirt in a matter of seconds.

no comment on the decks. my post was solely in regard to the clown skate tees sold today.


and i don't encourage flipping. it ruins a lot of incredible things, especially cultural events.

i think when people resell things like timed editions, or something like this where the item was available for a fair amount of time to the true fans, it seems categorically different.


when i hear 'flipping', i think of a person buying an item as a non-speculative investment that they 100% know will resell for x amount, and that will sell out in seconds at the initial point of sale. i think bots, etc.


really, really, really not trying to defend flipping here, so sorry if it comes off that way. just pointing out that i view the full on 'bot war milisecond sell out' flipping as an entirely different animal than what happened with these shirts.

if you bought it and your wife doesn't like it or whatever, a nice thing to do would be to sell for cost to someone on this forum or cancel your order so another fan has a chance. take the karma over the profit.

i must say, it's hard to tell these days.


i remember in the earlier days when flippers were maybe 5-10% of the community here. now it seems the tables have almost completely turned, and the true fans/collectors/non-flippers make up maybe 15% of the user base.



this place used to have a real sense of community, with meetups at shows, etc. - i miss that.

Being an ex skater and a fan of Banksy's work it was a no brainer for me, skated for years riding Santa Cruz, Alva , H- Street, Blind and Powell, like to think I could still ride but probably not these days. One of my favourite t-shirts is still one I wear now.
