Nope. They are brought to the nearest safe port. The concept of "safe port" usually exclude their starting point. Then, when they are, as always, in Italy, we evaluate if they can stay in ue or not. If not, in theory, they don't risk their lives if returning to original country.

It is not their job to make laws. They rescue.
Banksy's association to this ship has brought the plight of these people into the media once again.
He is using his position to highlight the terrible events that take place daily.
We just don't hear about them as we sit in comfort in our warm homes.
For that I say Bravo Banksy!

A police rescue vehicle in the 100 block of West 10th Street in Coal Valley, where about 10 kids exited a trailer and a man was taken into custody on August 24, 2020. (Taylor Boser, OurQuadCities.com)
UPDATE: The Davenport Police Department says this is a follow-up to the homicide that took place on Saturday morning on the 6500-block of Harrison Street. They cannot offer more details at this time but did mention it has no relation to the Breasia Terrell case.
EARLIER UPDATE: About 10 kids exited a trailer after Coal Valley Police and Rock Island County Sheriffโs Department arrived and asked the residents to exit their home.

For those of us who are concerned by the actions of our governments at this time regarding this crisis, a good friend of mine made a very good suggestion: we should all write to our MEPโs to lobby them to fulfil their legal obligations.
I do hope he doesnโt mind me repeating the suggestion here; I suspect not.

Ever had a family member die at sea? Any immigrants in your family or were you born into entitlement? Never in need always able to help and feed those in need?
I just dont understand the douchebagness in your comments. I guess you have done SOOOOOOOO much more to help others in what you call your life that what Mr B does is minimal? So because the boat banksy bough and funds gets more attention than the hundreds of other boats that have been doing it for years ( which then brings more attention to the actual issue and not the vessel) we should say F*CK BANKSY?

Go tell all the families of those that died on the boat that was trying to rescue them that they shoudl hire you to sue an unknown unnamed street artist who's only intent was to help bring to light the attention and urgency it deserves?
