We ( and I imagine L-13 too) dont have the email addresses of buyers from the Boot so cant sent emails confirming that prints have been shipped, we are about 3/4 way through shipping 70 or so orders Oh nooooooooooo.... lol.... how spoilt are all of you on the ‘Continent’ and/or living in a place subjugated to such... we in the States don’t begin to get our panties in a wad until a minimum of 1+ month or so since order date... my goodness, these people are artists, not operational specialists... why judge if the time appears reasonable??? hello Covid??? makes me harken back to when I was a teenager... please reference the following link... |

I assume this relates to my post questioning when the Jamie Reid prints will ship. I certainly didn't intend to sound pushy or annoyed. Was simply asking if anyone knew what to expect seeing as I didn't receive an email. Fully appreciate the work and efforts of artists, galleries etc during these tricky times.

I bought tickets yesterday and searched this site and thought it was strange that no one was talking about it. Thx for creating the thread, interested to hear about what others think. It's a cunt-fest of frowsy flippers scrapping like rats in a sack for marginal gains.
Some of the art's ok though.

... set the expectations low, spend the whole day ... rather than scrambling or even fighting over the 'in' piece ... and you would enjoy the day ...
... last year and the on-line experience was a total disaster ... and they did not help themselves ... they lost a lot of good will ...
... I think this year, people are giving it a miss ... and waiting for the old times in person ...
... artists sold direct and off their own websites in the end ...
... I haven't signed up and will wait til next year ...

for those of us that don't live close by, the virtual fair has been an opportunity we otherwise would not have been able to participate...

I have only been once, and enjoyed it, as a good day out with my youngest son. But we arrived very late, so any flippers had long gone.
We were left to have a leisurely wander and browse.
