Kaws went sold for a modest £122,500!

I enquired about the Baker piece but it was sold straight after auction. I went for a sketch from the Sotheby's show but missed out there too. According to S-2 the show is 90% sold out. According to the website the Kaws did sell, for the price mentioned. I think it may just have been in the second auction.

Sellers would have received 90 to 100% of those reported prices depending on the deals they made with the house. The buyers paid another 25% in premium on top of those prices to the house then get shipping and any additional taxes.

Magpie
signed, dated and authenticated 'STIK 2009 2016' on the reverse spray paint on wood, in artist's frame 139 x 29.8 cm (54 3/4 x 11 3/4 in.) Executed in 2009. This work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by the artist's studio.
Estimate £8,000 - 12,000
This lot is an original street art work from the front wall of the Magpie Social Centre in Bristol, which had to give up its premises earlier this year. The artist has agreed to authenticate the panel so that proceeds can fund the relocation of the social centre.

Plus the money is going to a good cause.
Plus it looks cool.
Proper Stik innit.

For every street work, he creates an Alias which is available for sale. They're usually very expensive, so if the work sells for it's estimate it will be a good pick up.

Yeah I know but they always say it when it's an alias.. I was wondering since they also have a street's stik.
And you're right.. Bargain for an alias !
