Visit NEW YORK ๐บ๐ฒ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by Wearology on Aug 26, 2014 23:53:57 GMT 1, There is an Italian Eatery called Eately that is absolutely amazing. It is located on 23rd & 5th. It's the size of a football pitch and you can get all types of Italian deserts, food, produce, coffee, expresso whatever you desire. It's like being in Italy. A must for any tourist / local that is in NYC.

Visit NEW YORK ๐บ๐ฒ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by dreadnatty on Sept 26, 2014 22:36:04 GMT 1, Hidden Os Gemeos Mural on the Bowery Graffiti Wall Returns Next Week
www.boweryboogie.com/2014/09/hidden-os-gemeos-mural-bowery-graffiti-wall-returns-next-week/
The Tony Goldman-owned graffiti wall on the Bowery will be re-revealed next week, despite the ongoing construction at the Billyโs Antiques project site. But with a twist. The original concrete slab, last painted by street artists Os Gemeos in 2009, will make a surprise return next week for a limited time.
According to the Goldman Properties team, the โhiddenโ mural will have its day in the sun next Tuesday evening. Public unveiling is at 5pm.
The twins [Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo] dedicated the mural to the memory of their friend Dash Snow, a fellow artist, who had recently passed. Upon completion of the muralโs run, with the concrete of the wall starting to degrade, a stud wall was placed over the mural in order to provide a stable canvas for the next artist. With construction of a new wall in the works next month, Goldman Properties plans to remove the stud wall and once more showcase the original wall featuring OSGEMEOSโ mural still intact.

Visit NEW YORK ๐บ๐ฒ Street Art, Galleries, Events, by gab on Sept 30, 2014 15:56:40 GMT 1, I'm still trying to figure out when to go to New York next year (sometime between March and June). It would be great to combine it with some big/good art events (urban art and contemporary). What about Art Expo in New York? Any good? Is it stricktly contemporary art there?

Urban Project Lets You Purchase, Own New York City Street Art
www.psfk.com/2014/10/art-culture-new-york-city-street-art-purchase.html
Wall-(m)Art sells and frames graffiti in its designated outdoor locale A modern New York art gallery has hit the streets of the city, and anyone with $150 to auction off can own a piece of it. Unlike most modern art purchases, the new possession will not be riding home with you. Rather, a personalized plaque will be resurrected in your honor and youโll be knighted with a nifty โproof of ownershipโ title.
Wall-m(Art) is a new company that lets the public purchase street graffiti from the walls of the city. Fine art or vandalism โ whatever you choose to call it โ that covers subways, urban walls and street corners is officially available to anyone who wants to stake their claim as one of the lucky firsts to own the one-of-a-kind work.
The potentially illegal concept stemmed from a simple idea: New York public space boasts some of the most unique and โbadassโ street art around the globe. Now, Wall-m(Art) wants to make it profitable. All you have to do it purchase the desired artwork and wait 3-4 weeks for a shiny gold frame to hang around it in its urban location. A plaque with your name on it will ensure that all passerbys know about your new art real estate.
A picture of the framed artwork acts as a receipt, with no exception for exchange or return. You can think of it as a way to share an art collection with neighbors and the greater of Manhattan, a museum that everyone can appreciate.
If youโve always wanted to own your own hard work/art/vandalism created by a New York artist, you can officially browse the collection online or customize your own. The first few have already been purchased and hang proudly throughout Brooklyn.
Warning: you must be 18 years or older to purchase, or have your parentsโ permission.
