There's usually something really interesting going on there! It had a Ron English Humpty Dumpty Donald Trump right outside it when I was there last summer. That whole area is just an Urban Art paradise, creativity flows like a river.

Some of you are probably aware, but for those that aren't, there is an upcoming Art Fair in NYC beginning this week.

The opening night is this Thursday, June 29th and the fair runs until Monday, July 3rd.
Lots of galleries that forum members are familiar with will be exhibiting works at this Fair, including:

Does anyone has a suggestion where to paint. I'm a retired graffiti writer, so something where I don't have to run would be great.

I was wondering how they protect it from getting stolen?
Because no one can see you from the galleries nor from the booth when you want this piece pretty bad. The guard which was standing at the stairs can't see you and at around 7 when I was about to leave there was no guard. There was one guard far away trying to figure out what all the pictures by Martha Cooper mean, so he was quite busy trying to read graffiti. Then no other visitors and the piece hanging on the way to the exit. Maybe the guards at the entrance would ask you some questions I don't know. It just don't felt safe and looked very unprofessional in terms of protecting the work on an exhibit.

Fun gallery was the most refreshing place to be that day, they improvised to get things on the wall. And this is what you do when you're on the streets. On one wall they just put aluminum foil as a background and put up pictures and posters on that. Beside that they've got history, music, great photographs, chairs. It was the nicest place to hang out and spend some time. I would love to see more designed or even painted booths or with a brick like wall, its called Urban Art. Streets are not painted white.
