Wearology is a top guy, paid him a visit and he kindly took me on a tour of local galleries and artists studios. Saw an interesting floor piece with โliveโ mice and some great work using cardboard by Tomaso Albertini. Bought a couple of New York map originals. Thanks again Wearology

Make time to just wander around the back streets of the LES. Tons of good random walls up. There's a sweet invader that's been there for years. Will look up the exact location and update.
Head to Bushwick in BK to do the same. It's a little more corporate but still good.
There's one Banksy from his show here a few years back, at 69th and Amsterdam. Local supermarket put plexi in front of it.
Feel free to PM if you have specific qs. I've lived here since 2008. Happy to help.

They wheel around carts of various items and you basically point to what you want (unless you're lucky enough to get someone who speaks english) and they mark up a bill at the table in chinese so dont bother trying to understand it. You'll eat like a king for $20. Wash it all down with a steak dinner in Brooklyn at Peter Lugers steakhouse (make a reservation in advance)
I realize this post has nothing to do with art, but as a New Yorker I felt compelled to help out with food suggestions. Plus I consider some of that food to be art anyway....

. Unless they've changed Peter Luger cash only, $50-$75 per person...quite good though...or go to the Corner Bistro in West Village for a burger fries and beer for $10-$15 per person and also quite good, less tourists.

I saw that OsG recently it is amazing.
