All the best There is no conspiracy that artists place works directly at auction with TateWard (or other auction houses) as that is what happens. The repetition of lots at TateWard is more than a coincidence. Congrats on your sale as you capitalised at the right time. |

The really impressive thing about these management placements is they actually have been shipping the boxes all around the world for the last few years (4 different time for this one print) to make it look like they didnโt place them! Personally? I look at the art, I've seen the expo in Paris and Berlin, and it's a no brainer that for me, he's one of the real talent in that scene where there is a lot of hacks with just a social message and no skills.
Would I pay the same amount on an invader print? Mmm, maybe, maybe not. I would hesitate.. On a Kaws, on a H. Miller? Never. Maybe I'll miss out, but I just don't see the art value, so I just stay away. I just see the art value in a Pejac.
You pick your artists with your budget - personally I see it as a game of investment, and taste.
I went early all in in Pejac, thanks to this forum. If I have to sell a few older ones at a profit to make room for new ones, I just will. However Seppuku will still remain in my living room, no doubt.
On another style, I saw the Hasui Kawase and Yoshitoshi trend rise in another form of prints, japanese woodblock prints. I think it's only the beginning there as well. Word to the wise.
