One could say that the ratio reputation/cash had been very low for Invader over the last 10 years compared to other artists and he might think that it is unfair but at that level I just canโt understand. Hope he is fine and knows what he does

For decades heโs been making art for the streets, heโs earned his reputation and now has earned the right to line his pockets handsomely.

And hopefully hรฉ wonโt! But from nothing very commercial historicaly speaking to 2 editions with Musart and 1 one with Heni in one year, there is a quantum leap. And his work is intrinsecaly somerhing quiet confidential, thรฉ Guy wears a maskโฆ so does it still work with regular huge editions? I donโt think so

If I was offered an Invader 3D sculpture or one of these Heni prints and I didn't know the price of each, I would pick the sculpture. I still think the 3D Little Big Space were sold ridiculously cheaply. I would have been happy to pay 3 times the amount. Definitely the bargain of 2022. I feel like if the Heni Invader Rubikcubiam went head to head with the Musart 3D vinyl Invader and the prices were equal, or didnโt know the price, few people would pick a vinyl unsigned figure vs a large 100 cm by 100 cm format print/photo attached to aluminum and signed on back. The vinyl figure was also a huge edition size of 5000 for $500 vs. this which was $3k for a signed edition size between 400 to 800 depending on image.

Based on the HS code from HENI it seems that the VAT applicable for France is 20%. 5.5% VAT would be only for unique paintings or all process done by hands based on the talk I had with DHL.
The amount mentionned was around 500โฌ.

Cheers I'm not sure how the French customs work but here in the UK, the reduced rate of VAT applies to original artworks *and* reproduced artworks that are hand-produced in some way and not through an automatic mechanical process. So screenprints should be at the reduce rate but I'm not really sure about the Heni dibond prints. I think it's a bit of a grey area to be honest. |

Thanks If you are ever unsure, type in the courier company's web address yourself. When you enter the tracking number, it should come up, saying "awaiting custom fees payment. Click here to pay." or something like that. I try to avoid clicking links in e-mails and sms if possible. |
