It wasn't a Sunday flippers object, unlike books and maps here you had to put more money.
There will be some pinball machines, but less than usual, so lots and lots are on the walls

Doesn't get a "prime" spot unlike other pieces in the main living space (but was too flashy/ too big). Here its below a staircase, but still reasonably nice. For those who care, too hook it up, i used 2x "3M claws drywall picture hangers", they are meant to hold 20kg each, so 40kg total leave a good safety margin. They "slot" right in, with the aluminium frame

It's one of my best prints and everybody who comes in looks at it and not at some other prints which are more valuable but much smaller... oh well I made a little experience over the last days. Some friends (all very into art and some are collectors) of mine came by and I said nothing to them about my purchase (country life which is in the living room and camo in a more discrete place). I am very fond of my country life but wanted to test their reaction. Country Life is clearly very very well received and seen as an outstanding piece. What I saw when I got it (vs. Photos from Heni as I could not see them at Heniโs) is that colour treatment make it very beautiful and brillance of the piece is very well adapted for this work and subject. |

For laughs, I took the suggestion of one of the members here, and got the artwork from the HENI site printed on a 1m x 1m Dibond for about โฌ70, and it came today. Might be a bit darker, but I am very happy with the end-product. Just need to figure out a hanging solution now! Think I'll get Camouflage done too, but brighten it up a tad.

Matt is definitely the way to go and yours has inspired me. Iโve got a supplier who could create texture on the dibond to give an embossing effect so I might try that.

Iโm sure it wonโt affect Heniโs balance sheet either.
Iโm also sure Marilyn Monroe gets no credit for her face being repeatedly used without her (or estate) permission by different artists.

Blimey - calm down and get over it - itโs not being passed as a fake and very noticeably different materials. You only be upset the Matt version actually looks better. Whether you want it on your wall or not is your own personal choice. Some people don't need or cannot afford authentic works and are happy with reproductions, e.g. what museum shops sell.
What is fun about the experiment is that it shows the problem of reproductions being sold as "authentic" works. - And what are the HENI/Invader editions apart from being those printed photographs that you mentined?

to me is more like "I can't afford a LV bag so I will buy a fake one" needless to say there are plenty of nice cheap bag you can buy (and might also looks better) that buying a fake looks pretty stupid to me.

I don't get it. You have 2 choices : - it's an artistic choice
- it's an economic choice mat cost 5-10% more ...

For laughs, I took the suggestion of one of the members here, and got the artwork from the HENI site printed on a 1m x 1m Dibond for about โฌ70, and it came today. Might be a bit darker, but I am very happy with the end-product. Just need to figure out a hanging solution now! Think I'll get Camouflage done too, but brighten it up a tad.   I am sorry but doing this in the exact same dimensions is something you should never do. The is illegal copy, it is forbidden, you just canโt do this pal! Heni should nโy have given hd images allowing to do this but even of they did, it grives no authorisation to any body. by the way, I donโt understand what pleasure you get from this.
Although your point about the same dimensions is a strong one, I have no real problem with the actions of ronanmc.
He did make that piece in a slightly different format, with a matt finish, which does distinguish it from HENI's Dibond.
More importantly, it was for his private enjoyment, rather than as a business endeavour.

My own position is that this forum's ire should be directed at the fraudsters among us โ including the occasional and intermittent scammers who, after discovering that certain pieces in their collections are counterfeit, pass them off as genuine and try to sell them on to other members here.
That would be the case, for example, with Hendrix 69 and his fake Keith Haring subway drawings*.
Or with Art Attackkk and his fake Mr Brainwash paster and fake set (or sets?) of signed Stik posters*.
I would also focus more on knockoff merchants and parasites who churn out reproductions for commercial sale, including the bizarrely popular The West Country Prince, or the godawful Mrs Banksy.
The same goes for sponging, formulaic nonsense such as the Connor Brothers.
Or the likes of James McQueen. Seriously, what informed art collector of sound mind would ever contemplate spending a four‑figure sum on such derivative rubbish? Is that really anyone's bag? If so, fill your boots here*.

Not blaming anyone but to see reproductions like this made by and embraced by "art collectors" on the forum is pretty sad (or I am just grumpy this am). Maybe ronanmc made it for his own enjoyment but pretty much laid out the instruction manual for the bottom feeders to do the same and pass them off as legit.
