Heni x Invader 'Rubikcubism', by its all about me on May 17, 2023 12:19:55 GMT 1, I am sorry but doing this in the exact same dimensions is something you should never do. The is illegal copy, it is forbidden, you just can’t do this pal! Heni should n’y have given hd images allowing to do this but even of they did, it grives no authorisation to any body. by the way, I don’t understand what pleasure you get from this. As far as being "illegal" is concerned, I'm not sure if that's true or not. I thought it would only be illegal if he was trying to put this out there as an original Heni print or an authorised Invader release. He is doing neither. He is not trying to fool people in to thinking it is something that it is not. If he was making them to sell on to others then it would be different. But he is not.

Heni x Invader 'Rubikcubism', by Poster Bob on May 17, 2023 12:58:16 GMT 1, A bunch of Karens crying because someone was ingenious with using publicly available images distributed by the printhouse to obtain art for the purpose of appreciation at a shockingly small fraction of what you all paid for a shiny cover and a signature. Give it a rest.

Read Ways of Seeing by John Berger. Classic book/tv series which looks at how ownership and reproduction of imagery over the past century has transformed how we perceive and appreciate art.

Give it a rest. Not really. It won't effect my enjoyment of the one I purchased. Just find it funny on an art forum people are ok with knock offs which will inevitably be for sale (not saying that's Roman or acmes intention).

Heni x Invader 'Rubikcubism', by ronanmc on May 17, 2023 17:31:25 GMT 1, YAY! There will be more fakes than legit editions of these now. Not blaming anyone but to see reproductions like this made by and embraced by "art collectors" on the forum is pretty sad (or I am just grumpy this am). Maybe ronanmc made it for his own enjoyment but pretty much laid out the instruction manual for the bottom feeders to do the same and pass them off as legit. stuckeyc - Right or wrong (I actually never considered it tbh), I got the Dibond printed for my own enjoyment only. In the same way that I get immense enjoyment from my WCP screenprints. You won't get a template to reproduce based on what I shared - you won't find the high-res artwork, or get the printer name based on what I shared. Apologies - I can't remove all the reposts, just my own posts - but encouraging someone to sell fakes was not my intention.
And, having seen the original, there is no way what I got printed will pass for a decent fake. The finish is different, the edge is different, and the rear mounting is not there. I'm sure the resolution is too low as well, if you put them side by side.
To the people who don't understand why you can enjoy looking at art that isn't 'official'... why are you interested in art? For money/value, to know it's official, or so that your heart skips a beat when you catch a glimpse of it as you pass it during the day?

If it were me I would have resized it to a 50x50cm to not be a room's main attraction. But that's me - You do you.. and clearly you are.
I haven't seen one yet however if the real ones have squares that are the exact size and color of a Rubic's Cube square/cube then it fits. Otherwise if it's just a blown up image of such then I would have resized to match the dimensions accordingly.

It's a by-product of wanting to see the art daily.
I suppose you also propose no-one here buys any West Country Prince, and does without any Banksy in their homes if they can't afford to shell out £15k+ for an unsigned screenprint?
I can enjoy a WCP more than a Banksy, because I don't have to worry about light or sun damage, the risk of having it in a high-traffic location, the risk of theft, insurance, etc. Different strokes for different folks. You don't have to agree with it, of course - but it doesn't mean you're right either.

Do you find anything ironic behind your assertion that the "Urban Art" Association is a "forum of dedicated art collectors"? Rather than a place for lovers of Street Art / Graffiti, whether that be on the streets, in a museum or gallery, or in your home?
Maybe this is an indication of what's missing... I flew to Brussels to see the Invader exhibition in MIMA. It was mind-blowing, a real experience. The sh1t money can't buy.
When I got back, all other 'Art Lovers', including members of this forum wanted to know was, did I get some Rubik Cubes, and would I sell them one. No interest in seeing photos, hearing about, or visiting the exhibition. At all.

Heni x Invader 'Rubikcubism', by The Greased Piglet on May 19, 2023 3:34:50 GMT 1, I got caught in two minds on whether to buy Marilyn or Camouflage, and missed the deadline - and HENI wouldn't take a late order - which is fair enough. For laughs, I took the suggestion of one of the members here, and got the artwork from the HENI site printed on a 1m x 1m Dibond for about €70, and it came today. Might be a bit darker, but I am very happy with the end-product. Just need to figure out a hanging solution now! Think I'll get Camouflage done too, but brighten it up a tad. I am sorry but doing this in the exact same dimensions is something you should never do. The is illegal copy, it is forbidden, you just can’t do this pal! Heni should n’y have given hd images allowing to do this but even of they did, it grives no authorisation to any body. by the way, I don’t understand what pleasure you get from this. are you high? Printing a publicly available image and putting it on your wall is not illegal. If he was selling them sure but for private use it's completely fine.

Heni x Invader 'Rubikcubism', by stendhal on May 22, 2023 8:25:56 GMT 1, A few years ago, a big gallery owner I know here in Paris was asked by the Picasso Administration (Picasso Family) to remove all thé images of works by Picasso he had for sale from his website. He had no choice but to do it. Of course posting photos of our own works here is in the tolerance area (because highly encouraged by the artist and Heni), printing for your self on similar support is for me beyond red line (but shouldn’t be far for any body) and posting that you have done it is not very clever but that’s a personnal opinion. I have no doubt that nobody will do legal action because it is not usual for Invader to do so but that does not mean that it is legal. I admit it is not very intuitive.
Good news, there are very fine alternative for you guys. I saw this wonderfull thing during this long weekend in the toilets of a restaurant. Made me think of this thread

Heni x Invader 'Rubikcubism', by Film Director 247 on May 22, 2023 11:48:56 GMT 1, I saw Shepard Fairey at Stolenspace and this guy had a bootleg Obama print which he was unsure of its authenticity so he wanted to ask the man himself. I could've told you it was clearly a fake, it was badly pixelated. The funny thing was, Shepard said he would sign it because he started by bootlegging tees.

Printing a publicly available image and putting it on your wall is not illegal. If he was selling them sure but for private use it's completely fine. The Marilyn printed print looks real good in my opinion.
I am sorry but doing this in the exact same dimensions is something you should never do. The is illegal copy, it is forbidden, you just can’t do this pal! Heni x Invader 'Rubikcubism', by Dahmer on May 23, 2023 10:12:13 GMT 1, I saw Shepard Fairey at Stolenspace and this guy had a bootleg Obama print which he was unsure of its authenticity so he wanted to ask the man himself. I could've told you it was clearly a fake, it was badly pixelated. The funny thing was, Shepard said he would sign it because he started by bootlegging tees. I remember a story where Damien Hirst started buying up fake spot paintings from eBay and signing them and making them technically his paintings, I always find that kind of funny. In fact I think both Damien and Invader were in the states last year and he signed a spot painting in a Starbucks or something

Heni x Invader 'Rubikcubism', by cc13 on May 23, 2023 23:17:45 GMT 1, Received mine as well today. This thing is seriously chunky. Must be about 4x the thickness of the Empresses. Wonder why? Maybe adds to the 3d effect of the blocks?

Heni x Invader 'Rubikcubism', by dreadware on May 24, 2023 1:56:46 GMT 1, The print is 100x100cm and 13,5kg The whole package is less than 120x120cm (10cm thickness) and I would guess under 15kg weight. Very well packaged also. Impressive print.Got my MM today also in the US.
