When it worked, it went straight through. Don't sit there waiting for the payment to go through if the page is reloading. I also got the email straight away so if you haven't got that, don't assume you have one. Worked via PayPal btw. Good luck!

Chose debit/credit card option and went all the way to payment validation with bank 4 times (with different cards and different devices), yet I received a payment confirmation email from Paypal...
All very confusing, but at least it appears I got there in the end. Fingers crossed!

Had to refresh loads and loads, went though PayPal many times, but it kept saying 'something went wrong' on the order page. So kept trying and trying. The money looks like it's been taken out a few times, but I never got a confirmation email.
Just kept trying doing the same thing over and over and i've just finally got a confirmation email as well as a PayPal email.
Hope others are lucky and if for some reason I end up with more than one, i'll shout out on here incase anyone did miss out.
