Banksy Street Art "Another World is Possible", by robo on Oct 10, 2023 15:43:50 GMT 1, Banksy frequently plays with different ways for entities in the artwork to have created the graffiti element of the work, so this does read as familiar at first glance. But to me this work lacks the wit, conciseness or meaning of a good Banksy. Itโs also overworked - the image is funnier and cleverer without the struggling humans and the severed power cable. ( I could see a series of simpler robot arm-only works appearing around town as Banksyโs new monkey or rat motif.) So Iโm hoping this is an impersonator not the man himself. My suspension of disbelief is about to burst...
So, Robo, you have been a member on UAA since 2006 and are unable to identify this as having been done by Banksy? You see no wit nor meaning in it? The humans trying to stop the AI machine (the irony) that they created as it "speaks the truth," it is all totally lost on you after following Banksy pretty much as long as anyone on this forum?
I guess we can all hope that James Straffon takes credit for it.

Yes, I (mostly) agree with you on God, but when you consider Adam: he has just been created, is casually lying on the ground. His hand is pointing towards God, but - in contrast to God - his hand is not outstretched. If he wanted to, he could reach God .. but does he even want to? And this combined with his body posture: he is leaning in the other direction, away from God. So does it symbolise the close bond between God and his creation or humanity moving away from him/them?

Posting some hilariously witty video alongside, right now would rub against his support for Palestine.
Either that or he's ashamed of the quality, which is quite possible given the state of the faces in particular.

Sure, I wouldn't bet my house on it, and sure, up close it might not be as polished as you'd like (but who among us is?), but it just *looks* like something he would do. Maybe with everything else going on in the world, he's happy to let this one go this time?

Especially after the drama surrounding Valentineโs Day mascara, it feels we now celebrate the artist more than the art. What if by not claiming this piece as a Banksy , it can truly be appreciated for what it is, a street art without the commotion that comes with a Banksy.
What if No one ever claims this work. What if itโs actually by Banksy but he never comes forward .
