The Collection of Sir Elton John: Opening Night, by Minecrafter on Jan 24, 2024 12:24:49 GMT 1, Don't really know what to answer, but seems like everyone here couldn't care less about Palestine. I have a feeling my therapist would say that's deflection, possibly projection, and also, sir, this is a Wendy's. If ALL Banksy has ever done, is send a few of us muppets over there, and temporarily increase local taxi rides and falafel sales, IF that's all he's done for the ordinary Palestinians, then it'll still be more than the vast majority of us will ever do. And even then, it still wouldn't be fair to say folk on here couldn't care less about Palestine. If your argument is that Banksy used the Palestinian crisis as some sort of prop to promote his own work (which I don't personally believe to be the case. It would've been far easier and safer to work with Dog's Trust); if, IF that was even true, then Banksy's still done more to help in that region than the vast majority, and certainly among artists. A road sign with drones on it was never, sadly, going to be a workable roadmap to a peaceful two-state solution. Whilst stealing their own road sign they only provoked my husband further (like any of us did need that ๐) . That was no roadmap to a peaceful solution either.

Then go over there and engage lol Everyone seems to have something to say to Jps, that's the perfect place to bring your excuses/answers for questions aimed at Banksy. JPS surely won't come to this shitty forum. Stef, he's your husband, you live together in a cottage in Bavaria, so Jamie's no doubt well aware of the conversations on here. You seem quite resillient and maybe the dopamine kicks of arguing on here everyday don't do you any harm, but knowing Jamie's background I can't believe this is doing his mental health any good at all, which no doubt impacts his (and your) ability to create new work. If you really care about Jamie and his career, you really need to give it a rest. If you're ambitions to be "known" artists have taken a hit, that's done. But you can't keep using this Banksy conspiracy as the reason for "not making it", that's just giving up, even if it doesn't seem that way. You're both talented artists, you should just get your heads down and produce the work.

You're obviously confused, I've never written anything with *RJ and for sure not aware of any orchestrated "hate campaign" against Jamie. There are thousands if not 10's of thousands of street and stencil artists, hundreds who make a good living with and without gallery representation. Two or three in every city on the planet and 10's of thousands of collectors. None of whom get regular attention or press outside their own city and very few aware of this forum etc, but they still get on with it and make a living. Sotheby's, Banksy, Christies, Billionaires, the Art World.. it's another league, another world completely. It's Hollywood. You may think criticising that system elevates you to those levels and into their world, but it doesn't, no one notices, it doesn't have any impact whatsoever and never will, to think you can "bring it down" is a waste of your time and Jamie's talents. Take from this what you will, but the only way to "win", is to make the work, release the print, build the reputation, have fun in the studio etc.
*caveat, (in case of screenshots where I said someone's work was shit) I can't remember what I did last week never mind 11 years ago.

The Collection of Sir Elton John: Opening Night, by Deleted on Jan 24, 2024 19:30:13 GMT 1, Well you see Minecrafter, Reader is right. Banksy, the big auction houses, it's a different league. And according to the boys here, you and JPS don't belong there. Most of them don't belong there either. I would be surprised if Robin or others involved knew of their existence. But because they got a Banksy piece in the early days and flipflopped it for a nice amount, they feel special. As if they were part of some inner circle. Theyve smelled the dollars, and hold tight to that, and want to smell that scent again and again. I have done some research on this forum over the past few weeks and the conclusion can be, they don't want you here. You shall not become one of them. Nor will I for that matter. It does not necessarily mean they are not nice people. They are quite willing to do you a favour, at least if it has something to do with art. But as soon as they feel you want to belong to them, the first row clan, they will close ranks and shut you out. Let it be a reassurance, it is not Banksy who does this, it is the guys who are not Banksy but want to belong to B so badly. Just ask yourself if you would want to be part of that.

But because they got a Banksy piece in the early days and flipflopped it for a nice amount, they feel special. As they were part of some inner circle. On this forum over the years literally hundreds of eBay sellers, gallerists etc got called out and it seems completely normal to alert people on here of fraud (fake di-face tenners, people copying Banksy's work without permission etc etc) but if Banksy himself gets called out for flat-out fraud, it's a big No-Go and everyone gets personal. Plus we are supposed to be armed with a million of reasons to call out Banksys fraud. Why is that? What makes it so different? One day we'll make a book out of all this and hopefully identify some of these cats.
Also, part of Banksy's Team are main members here, look out for the 2006 accounts.
Well you see Minecrafter, Reader is right. As they were part of some inner circle. Oh wait, now I remember. There isn't one.

Maybe then the auction houses should give up the names of the buyers of several pieces over the last 3 years and we'd happily let them know of our findings.
Tell me, would you defend fraud without hiding your identity ?

I'm guessing it's the same members who get their knickers in a twist when you suggest Banksy prices are dropping...or same members who decide auction houses where Banksy pieces get low hammers or are passed shouldn't count towards current values.
No need for secrecy here though. They've lost hundreds of K in the last 2 years. At least that is some comfort given what you say has been going on.
