The Banksy Archive of Steve Lazarides, by dotdot on Oct 16, 2024 14:55:12 GMT 1, for the avoidance of any doubt - no prov in this context means no prov.
SL prov is .. in a few years time - imho - worth something or worthless - that call is one for anyone wishing to pick something up... to decide.
one thing is for sure , SL - won't be caring that much will he ?
and if you purchase - will you ? I think you will.
And your insurance company - of course they won't be coming into it will they ? .... simple questions.
print monkeys ? indeed.
sometimes a meaningless quote just follows you around like .. a print monkey.
now ... back to the sandy.

The Banksy Archive of Steve Lazarides, by loui on Oct 16, 2024 18:49:22 GMT 1, Is Laz the West Country Prince? According to JPS and wife RG is Banksy and he lives in some fairytale castle in LA. However, they mentioned also WCP is b and living in the West Country. In short the people that would know prob keep silence. I for myself think it’s a set up between Damien H and Charles Saatchi, but who am I, I have no knowledge of the kind 🤷🏽♂️

The Banksy Archive of Steve Lazarides, by Skizz 82 on Oct 16, 2024 19:26:44 GMT 1, I find hard to believe that prints could be of interest without the PCO coa.
Since these are screenprints I think what matters is if the artist will recognize them as his pieces of art; otherwise I don't see much difference from a WCP from my point of view
The letters on the other hand are certainly an interesting glimpse of a golden era, although I think it is in bad taste to disclose them, unless prior authorization has been given by Banksy

Lots of insights there and a lot of stuff I didn’t know about
Gotta have deep pockets for this
20% import duties as it’s in LA and these works are all originals or non editions
So probably add on 50% with hammer fees shipping and duties
Proper bits of history though amongst the tat

good luck being charged that though
in 90% of cases no matter how hard you try 20% seems to be added and then you have to spend forever claiming it back

Shame, I was hoping the usual forum members downplaying strategies could mean I can sneak in under the radar and pick up something for a reasonable price ha ha

The Banksy Archive of Steve Lazarides, by drip on Oct 18, 2024 0:47:24 GMT 1, New world record price for a Peckham Rock.
It's not always what you are, it's who once owned you. Whose kitchen or hallway you were once in.
The quality stuff will have decent reserves on them though.
When I saw the world's most expensive Dismaland map had met its reserve, I thought to myself, I bet it fucking did. I bet it met that reserve so fast, it caused a sonic boom.
With it bringing in that kind of money, Laz'll be regretting just picking up the one from ebay I reckon.

The Banksy Archive of Steve Lazarides, by drip on Oct 18, 2024 1:02:56 GMT 1, In all seriousness, Banksy has the opportunity to do the funniest thing.
He should put together an auction, selling everything he still has related to Laz.
Anything at all.
Photocopies of crap, printouts of old emails, the OTHER burner phones, old Nokia chargers, that kind of stuff.
Each item comes with a certificate of authenticity, hand-signed by Banksy, watch him raise a fortune.

Sorry to quote you, I don’t know if it’s appropriate, but for me, since the beginning of ( maybe I’m wrong ) , Steve Lazarides looks sad, as a triste ( sinister ) sir, even his products that he is selling, even the Banksy looks sad, coming from him. Why ? maybe because of these speculation, these indecent prices ( even Discogs or eBay are cheaper ), make me feeling that I’m an idiot. Maybe he takes most of us as imbeciles, apart the ones who bought his sh.t with a lot of money : in fact they buy Lazarides, not Banksy. It’s insane at the end, it has always been. It’s like capitalism and I hate capitalism.
Sorry for the fan of Laz.
Even Westwood, McLaren, Jamie etc had the profile of honest and classy persons, despite their hyped way too.
